Listened to the second half on five live. Not one mention of the difference in cost of the teams, utter silence about the fact that the third goal should have stood. Chris Sutton giggling and applauding each of the filth’s penalties. Them willing them on to snatch it at the end of normal time. I was feeling quite depressed (ignoring Spurs) these past 24 hours ---- I had received an appointment for a day patient heart procedure requiring I be at the hospital at 7:00AM - I would have to leave home at 5;30AM to drive to that appointment. heaven knows what time I would have to get out of bed.

As I was chopping firewood this morning, taking my frustration out of the logs of wood, my wife emerged outdoors and with joy in her voice, said "Grimsby beat United on a penalty shootout after the game ended 2 - 2". Boy did my mood change from that second on.
