North Stand Construction Discussion

It won’t happen, but if City reinstalled the seats at the front of L1, that would be an extra circa 1300 seats.(I stand corrected on that figure)
Seems to me they could reinstall the seats and use AI for advertising. Taking out three rows when you want fans close to the pitch (well done Everton) and don't want to look like London Stadium doesn't make much sense to the common viewer, but it's all about the money ain't it

You can see where the safe standing seats stop, and where the normal seats start in the 2nd section of seating to be installed. The shade of blue is slightly darker, which is caused by the safe standing barriers.

If you can’t see it properly in the above picture, look at the hand rails in the bottom pictures. Safe standing seats and their safe standing rails solid blue, normal seats, plain steel and curved hand rails at the end of the isles.

I count 14 rows of safe standing seating from the back of the stand to the start of the normal seats in the second block.

Let’s see if the club keeps to their promise of adding additional safe standing seating if the initial 3000 safe standing seats sell out. Which we’ll never know because the club won’t tell us.

I understand the effects of ‘weathering’ and exposure to sunlight; but are those new seats Royal Blue as opposed to light blue like the existing seats?

The original seat colour is basically laser blue because that’s what colour we were wearing when the seats were first being put in back in 2002.

Any new seats are of that originally laser blue colour, and they’ll stand out more next to the faded 20+ year old seats which have basically been weathered down to looking sky blue!

First of all, what a fucking impressive complex we now have. It is mega. The entire thing is just so, so impressive.

Secondly, I take my hat off to anyone who man’s those cranes. Fuck knows how they carry their balls there. I get a sickly feeling whenever I have to look out of the window of my 4th floor office!

...and it's real... unlike Scruffy Jim's Fantasy Land Pipedream of the North UFO

Ah, makes sense.
