Because he isn’t the required level. We are supposed to be one the best sides in the world. Nothing against the lad, it’s not his fault but we’ve all seen this before, it happened to Liverpool in the 90s, United more recently. We are heading the same way with these signings.

I agree we need to change our style, but there’s no chance pep will do that. The whole defence and midfield is struggling with our current style

Not suggesting there's is one, there isn't. I've said this multiple times already now after just a few games, the issue with Traffords distrbution isn't even his actual kicking, its his decision making and speed of thought that cause the problems.

I agree with you that Pep isn't going to change it but we have to, its going to cause untold problems all season long forcing this.

We’re not in the title race, so I think we take the risk of not bringing Donnaruma in and sticking with James, played really well today.

But let’s leave it until the last minute so United don’t sign him. Although I’m pretty sure he’s already rejected them.

Its impossible to replace what we have lost. Silva, Kun, KDB,Walker, prime Raz, Mahrez. Those that remain from our glory years are either past it or complacent. The new players are either still integrating and we don't know where their ceiling is or in some cases they aren't good enough to make us competitive across all competitions. I hope that its not the case but it seems like something has changed since we won the treble. A decline of standards, of fight, of mentality. For the first time I am seriously worried that Pep wont be able to arrest this and the decline may continue. The last 20 minutes today smacked of the worst of last season. No fight, no drive, soft. The difference between Khusanov's attitude and some of our 'stars' is stark.

I’m judging the club more than him. He looks a decent shot-stopper and that will come in handy, because he will be facing a lot of shots in this current City side. However, he wouldn’t be number 1 at any other top side. He shouldn’t be number 1 here (yet). Again, not his fault but it does show the current state of the club.
