Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

Its simple you don't spend 130 million on Isak to have him as backup for Haaland. We are spending 30 million Euros for a world class keeper (I would say best in the world but that seems to ruffle a few feathers) who will start for City.
We would not be signing him as a backup for Haaland. We would accomodate into the attack . We have a history of signing players and playing them in a position other than they are used to.
Can you imagine playing Centre half and seeing this beast stood in net behind you, it will give you so much confidence and have a calming effect.
He's a giant and hopefully he'll help keep the back door shut.

Can't wait to see him in action for us.
Do you honestly think that the problems with Dias and Stones is one of confidence in the goalkeeper. If it/was clearly they did not rate Ederson

You're getting annoyed.

No need, it's all about opinions.

he will be in a bit of shock to go from treble winner PSG ad that level of high tactical performance Enrique put together last season to something like we have no at City served up by Pep. no defence, no midfield controlling games and very easy to defend attacking play. no pressing, no tracking back and just panic defending most of the time.

but how we went from treble winning to this in so short time is sick.:(
Beauty here though is he looks like he was upset/ angry how it ended. Will have a major amount to prove again despite winning everything (apart from World Cup) and is only 26!

He was literally a kid playing for one of biggest clubs/ countries in world at 16/17. Seen it all. He won't tolerate Nunes etc playing like a twat. End of

Can understand concerns about his ability to play out from the back, but it didn't really hamper PSG last season. Am sad to see Ederson go, but once he decided he wanted out we had to get a world class replacement and I think Donnarumma fits that category and was available. He seems like a leader and will hopefully give some confidence to a squad who currently look bereft of it. Looking forward to seeing how he settles in.
The problem with this is we are not PSG, we arent capable of replicating their performance. Their answer to donnarummas inability to play out was to have the best front press on the planet and to pack the team and particularly the defence with pace. We'd need an entire new squad to be able to do that.

Pep has got the look of a man who doesn't seem that bothered, it's more than that. We'll get it right I have no doubt but it may not be with Pep.

The cult of Pep ( I admit the man has been fantastic for us) may not like that but there shouldn't be any sentiment in football, the man is our greatest ever manager but between him and Foden and the new Dias deal I don't have a lot of faith.

We are seeing what we hated most about the rags, we will still turn a profit even if we win nothing hence the club wont be in a rush to improve matters on the pitch or behind the scenes.

We finished 3rd last year after winning 4 PLs in a row.

Until we have a season that warrants sacking a manager, I'm not going down that road. Last season was a mess of injuries and a missed opportunity in the transfer window.

They signed 4 young players in Jan and made further reinforcements over the summer. That kind of turnover doesn't always result in us immediately gelling and figuring everything out. Especially with such a needlessly small preseason thanks to the FI-FAscism cup in the summer.

I hope you're right mate.

PSG were the finished article. This is part of City's rebuild. You can argue how far down the line we are with that.

In this day and age 30 million Euros is absolutely fuck all.
I am assuming Pep has given the all clear for this. In which case we need to stop pissing about at the back. Go long to Haaland with Marmoush playing off him. Reinjders joining them in the box.
