Yes your wrong nobody is signed and told your No 1 - it just happens that our regular goalie wears No 33 - furthermore Trafford has played one season in the Premier League and he was actually dropped by Burnley that season - and you rare him as the best English keeper and better than Donnaruma who has won Leagues , Champions Leagues , International tournaments etc etc

Why else does he sign for City ? Like i said Newcastle 100% was giving him the keepers shirt and start him in every game
 
Not a fan of this. Whilst undoubtedly a great goalkeeper, I would have liked to see trafford grow into the keeper spot and keep eddy for another season. If I were Trafford is be fuming

Yes atleast for this year. Newcastle also have Pope competing with him, he isn't a sure shot starter over him.

I'm sorry but numbers on shirts mean fuck all. No'1 was available at the time & so must have seemed obvious to give him that number.

Maybe he'll see it as being able to train and learn with one of the best keepers in the world?

Only time will tell.

He's still not here until the City PR team send out the video on the socials.

I looked that up a while ago, and I believe he was taking English lessons before he moved from Milan to Paris. We had an apparent interest even back then.

And what if Ederson wants to leave? What then? Stick with Trafford or sign one of the top 3 keepers in the world?

But playing ahead of Ederson this season in the first 3 games ? sort of says your number 1
 
well the story we told Trafford was enough to make him come back here and fight it out vs Ederson who was leaving next summer anyway. Donnarumma is a whole different animal, he aint coming as a treble winner to be understudy to Trafford.
there will be an uncomfortable conversation between Pep and Trafford soon which will end like he will have second thoughts why he not went to Newcastle imo to replace Pope long term.

There is no real evidence posted on here ( only thoughts) to confirm City promised Trafford the no1 shirt.

You need to let it go. Trafford a good keeper who will get game time as and when.

I certainly am happy we have great cover in goals for us
