City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

It is also understood that barriers to the Etihad deal have now been removed and that City are confident that they will not be treated differently to any other top-flight club going forward.
I take it weve been compensated for potential loss of earnings ?
Or it implies we have been treated differently previously.

Exactly my thoughts. Are we supposed to believe this and the Levy news last week has no link to 115?

Levy leaving could be completely unrelated in fairness I just think it might be too much of a coincidence.

More importantly, have Everton been informed?

Liverpool’s abnormal transfer window this summer looks like it’s a preemptive strike on what they know is coming with the deals which were stopped now being allowed. Hopefully this is all backdated from Summer 2023.

The Premier League blocked three of our sponsorship deals involving Middle East–linked entities:

1. Etihad Airways – Campus, stadium naming and shirt sponsor.
2. First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB).
3. Emirates Palace (Mandarin Oriental hotel).

So, not just Etihad....

This will lead to new funds incomming and will guarantee the end of supply issues in SSL3 re chips....

We won’t know if this is a ‘win’ for us - or the extent to which we’ve won - until the outcome of the 115 is known.

Did we have to give ground on one matter (i.e. the legality of the APT framework) in order to secure better terms on the outcome of the other? Have we got everything we want on the 115, and therefore need to reset our relations with the Premier League? Or did we agree to a deal on APT in order to hasten the resolution of the other charges?

We won’t know until it’s all out in the open.
No idea, but my initial thought was if the PL have accepted Etihad and the club will be treated as anyone else then they must have or been told evidence , presumably from the 115, that says they aren’t associated, suggesting those charges relating to Ethad have been cleared. Just my guess .

I don't think you should look for 115 and MCFC in every football event.

I think Liverpool are just acting in their own self interest. 3-4 years ago, spending £250m might be considered pointless because City would win regardless. Now they can spend, more confident in a return.
