Charlie Kirk shot dead at Utah university

People here keep on "quoting" him out of context , but a tiny bit of research, actually listening to what HE said, not out of context bollocks, would show anyone that whether you agreed with him or not (and I didn't on many matters), he was a decent human being trying his best to fight for what he believed in (rightfully or not). People here dehumanise him to "justify" his murder, but that's just despicable. I wouldn't wish death to anyone, let alone some lad who never harmed anybody. He had some bad takes(some good ones too btw.), and? He deserved to die for it?! I see we have a lot of gun violence fans on here.
You are clearly a fan and I don't really want to intrude on your grieving process but if you insist throwing around blanlet accusations, while complaining about a "lack of context" .... here's a few for you to explain to the class.IMG_20250911_104839.jpg

"Prove me wrong"
What does that even mean "prove me wrong"? You have your opinion - and whilst I don't share it, you are perfectly entitled to it.

In my view Charlie Kirk didn't deserve to be killed for having an opinion. I would say exactly the same if Greta was murdered for having an opinion and/or trying to do good for the people of Palestine, or indeed anyone else that you care to mention.

You are right. The Right Wingers have always been the biggest snowflakes and virtue signallers
No your not right, nobody would be cracking the champagne, if Greta was assassinated, it would be a tragedy. Right wingers the biggest snowflakes, your smoking something you shouldn't be, better have a lie down in your safe space.

You`re wasting your time with Haaland as he`s a hard core fanatic and can`t see anything wrong with any of these statements. After all its "free speech" gone wrong. ;)

"Prove me wrong" was on the side of the tent that Charlie was sat in, before he was brutally murdered. You'd have to ask someone at Turning Point what it means.

I guess it was his direct challenge to people. To change his opinion on something?

FWIW I don't think he deserved to die either. Just interesting to see the reaction to his death. Melissa Hortman died 3 months ago and the fact there were 2 school shootings, on the same day and barely a mention.

Not a gambling man, but I'd bet a month's salary...nay a years salary thar the same people who are saying Charlie Kirk didn't deserve to be killed for having an opinion, would be cracking out the jelly and ice cream if Greta Thunberg got blown up by the Israelis.

So are you saying he did deserve to die?

So your using Charlie Kirk’s own argument to justify a point. Guess you agree with him then?

Surely if you don’t agree with his views and gun violence you wouldn’t be using his arguments in relation to someone being killed by guns.
I think the fact that he was shot whilst denying that anything should be done about gun violence weakens his argument on the subject.

Where is this list of examples from? Can they be linked to known interviews or articles?

I think I'm yet to see anyone claim he deserved to die in this thread, just fans of the american right wing compalining about it.

I'd also argue Charlie Kirk did a great deal of harm to a lot of people by spreading and whipping up his racist, islamaphobic and transphobic hate, which still doesn't mean he deserved to die, but he was absolutely not a harmless "lad" and he wasn't "just trying his best to fight for what he believed in", he was profiteering from political division.

Lastly, all the quotes I've seen on here have all the necessary context, I'd be interested in hearing which ones get explained away by context, I suspect they're just explained away by you mostly agreeing.
I have not seen anything to substantiate any of this. His personal beliefs are not harming anyone. I have never seen him disrespectful in his countless videos. I have seen nothing but a lot of respect in his debates towards anyone, including people he completely dosagreed with.

I have seen people here claiming he doesn't believe in empathy, when he seems to have plenty of that, especially for American people. They use some cherrypicked quote when he explains why he doesn't believe in empathy under particular circumstances. He picks and chooses when to emphasise though, like most on here. If he is so bad, so are people on here.
