United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Very disappointed we didn't also have a minute's applause to show our appreciation for the great job Agent Omar is doing.
I don't think he actually exists, I think he is a cardboard cutout. He has exactly the same facial expression every time I see him, same expression, same upright pose.

The pattern was set in the opening minute creating a chance unlucky not to go in.

Any move which involved a quick build up they struggled to cope with. Bringing Casemiro and Maguire on was like waving the white flag.

If there was one thing from today and that is to keep Khusanov in the side. He is young but quick to spot danger.

Great result and good to some performance that stood out Haaland great today, Foden looked like the old self again, Doku was really good, Kuzanov showed why he is to play right defender,

I know Rodri is not up to his best yet, but I think he hade a god game, he read the game so well, often in the right place, can’t wait when he is up to speed again that is a massive impact this season, as will Big D he is the best goalkeeper in the world.

Khusanov was great, decent game from Doku. Haaland put a shift in as impressed by is effort as his goals. Good day!

We're, by the longest of chalks, better than them.

We've been better than them for over a decade.

Our performance today with a weakened team overwhelmingly proved that without a shadow of a doubt.

Fuck United and their sycophantic, arse licking media knobs, let's see them spin this result..

Smashed them today..!

Just looking at the bigger picture.

We spent most of that 2nd half camped in our box unable to get out aimlessly punting the ball upfield. At home. To an absolutely shite United side.

The drop off from where we were 3 years ago is staggering.
You must be real fun at parties. Have a sleep and stay off the downers.

I love those kinds of derbies when you can just tell that it means something to the players. They really wanted the win today, and it propelled us to the three points.

Agree with much of what has already been said here so won't repeat too much, other than Erling was sensational, Khusanov can be top tier and, although I rate Eddie as probably our best ever goalie, Donnarumma is very clearly going to gain us some points this year.

What I am struggling to come to terms with is, oddly for a Pep team, the lack of control and possession. There is not the same level of pass, pass, pass, and although some called it boring, it's a very sensible way to play when you have the best players technically, a real security blanket.

But I guess we don't have the best technical players at the moment, so we have to adapt.

I see Bernie getting a slagging off here and there, and yes it's clear he's lost something and who knows whether he'll get it back or if it's age, but the clear difference between him and Bobb, or any other winger we could have played, was his intelligence, his constant hounding, the tackles, nibbling away. Made that goal for Haaland. That's why he gets picked.

A couple of very stern tests now. Two draws doesn't sound too bad, but I'm not sure we can afford to drop points at home in any competition if we want silverware this season.

One last note on the scum. They have just got rid of Hojlund and brought in someone who seems possibly not as good, in Sesko. Maybe he needs to get up to speed, but that change to me proves that they're still flapping away behind the scenes, looking for half a clue.

I was listening to the bluemoon podcast before the game and the United fan on there was making it sound like they'd been unlucky to not have more points than they do. Well, I disagree,
I think they were fortunate against Fulham and Burnley with decisions in their favour that helped them to 4 points. They should be down there on zero with Wolves. Even with debatable decisions yet again, it will be completely down to whether Mbueno and Cunha can score enough goals to propel them higher, one of them gets injured for a spell and it could be dicey, both and they're potentially championship bound.
