Brits miles off it in the mens 400 :(

Not sure other than the womens 800 where we are getting any medals from. Feels like one of the worst performing major champs i can remember for us.

I'm trying to believe what I see but definitely a shock, from lane 3 too.

I want to believe the women's 400m is going to be clean too, there's going to be a time in that final rivalling Koch's WR though.

I think Max Burgin looks like he'll be scrapping for a medal. Wanyonyi probably getting the gold though.

Paris wasn't great on the track last year. Years of a harsh selection policy due to funding has cost us, only taking athletes who could get top 8 despite other athletes having Q times.

Looks like the new sponsor has given us funding though and as a result more have gone to Tokyo, won't help us here but should help for LA in 2028.

Forgot the men's 1500m as well, 3 chances of a medal in that one.
 
The women's 4x100 should have a good medal chance. They should have won gold at the Olympics but messed up the last change over. I thought that the men's 4x400 would have a medal chance but after watching that it would now be a big surprise.
 
Really enjoying this. Helps that it's on during the day and I can skip through the live feed at work to avoid the chat and see the action.

Whilst you can criticise the Brits with some poor performances, there have been a number of top athletes that have failed to make their finals. I'm not sure if it's the heat or some carrying injuries, but if you're not bang on it then you're out.

Hopefully in time we can be back competing in all of the events. It feels like we're spread very thin in terms of top talent at the moment.
