For the record, I am not a Stalinist. We need a market economy. What I want is we have a look at how 80% of the wealth created, goes to the top 1%, with another 10% going to the top 5%.

Now, I'm not a mathematician, but here me out. This isn't right. It isn't fair. No working class person is asking for the moon, encrusted with diamonds. Well I am, but I deserve it. A fair paying job, that enables them to have a good life. Own their home. We have a better NHS, our education improves. Jobs are created by doing things needing done for decades, roads, flood defences, railways extended to near pre Beeching slaughter. Look it up if you aren't familiar with the guy. We can achieve this with maybe a dip in demand for Super yachts. The workers can then build more, less than ocean going liner proportions, boats, whose decks, one can traverse without the need of setting up base camp.

Old cunts looked after. No nippers in poverty. We might never achieve it, but its a certainty, we never will, if we don't at least try.

Which flag should the British Armed Forces use?
Same goes for the GB Olympic team,Police or anyone representing the UK.
At present they all use the Union Flag.

I'll be honest, if I was a British soldier who'd fought for my country, or an Olympian who'd stood proudly on the podium as my flag was raised, the last thing I'd want would be to see a bunch of racist cunts using that same flag as a weapon to intimidate minorities in the country they live in. But that's just me.

You’re already in a firefight and the person shooting at you stops it to take umbrage at you for wearing a flag on your uniform more than for you shooting at them?! ;)

Not sure any of those have anything to do with people taking down flags on lamp posts. Put anything up there and the council will have to take it down. Wear it on your person or put it up in your own property and absolutely fill your boots with no issues from anyone, at least aside from an opinion, which is fine for you and them.

I've not noticed any flags flying where I live, probably because they havn't been erected.

Life carries on as normal. You know, people just going about their business without let or hindrence, much as it always has.

We're still living in the same polite country I have known all my life, saying sorry when we have nothing to apologise for, nodding at strangers and saying 'morning' while taking the dog for a walk, and respectfully queing up when we have to.

I passed through Manchester City centre on my way to the match today, and observed nothing different from when I worked there 30 years ago. Folks walking around without a care in the world, other than going to do what they want to do.

I don't recognise, from my experience of living here for over 60 years, what imminent societal breakdown means, as a privately educated deca millionare bulshitter running a private limited company masquerading as a politcal party receiving 97% of it's funding from similarly wealthy individuals, is banging on about.

Just a thought, but maybe, just maybe, deca millionaires and their billionaire friends that own the medai and political parties they support, don't actually have our best interests at heart?

What we have enjoyed as average people over the last decades isn't normal. Free heathcare, pensions, paid holidays, maternity leave, employment, environmental and consumer protections is a benefit that has always been opposed by right wing politicians, and not having those is the norm.

OK, get upset by flags if that's your bag, but don't kid yourself those that want you annoyed by that aren't taking the piss out of you for supporting it.

They've got you just where they want, and it's in their best financial interests for you to be distracted by something that doesn't actually matter. It's a Trojan Horse for them, and you are lapping it up.

Most people are intelligent and can tell the difference between the flag being used appropriatelty to represent the country and it's values and when its being misappropriated to make political points by racists and fascists, usually you can tell because the latter will have at least half of their Union flags will be upside down or be using it as a cloak.
