I don't know, having retired 2 months ago I'm now completely out of the loop regards exercises, though normally at this time of year there is a big one.

The Russian air force has its Mig and SU fast jets but they will be going into the sky against European air forces that have 5th generation fighters in the F35.
Ukraine has stemmed the tide for nearly 4 years using old NATO equipment and its own ingenuity in creating drones and missiles. If Russia wanted to try it on with NATO even without the Yanks they will be coming up against vastly superior machinery.

Ukrainian air defence shot down or suppressed 611/643 air tafgets:
566/593 UAVs;
2/2 reactive UAVs of the Banderol type;
0/2 aeroballistic missiles "Kinzhal";
35/38 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
8/8 Kalibr cruise missiles.
5 missiles and 31 strike UAVs were recorded at 16 locations, downed UAVs (fragments) fell at 25 locations.
