9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

I have been critical not of his ability but his leadership and Pep’s ability to use him to fullest. Happy to be eating humble pie. Like some mentioned statistically not his best season but his allround play has come on leaps and bounds. Also he has taken on the mantle as the leader and motivator on the team.

The way he came deep collected and soread wide for the first goal was superb that was peak Kane. The only difference is that on top of that he is rapid something can’t accuse Harry of ever being. Looking forward to seeing his peak years in 2-3 years time.
 
His all around game has improved but it was never as bad as some made out. He had a pretty good amount of assists in his first season and some of them really good too, like the two for Foden against the rags.

You don't get to this level if all you can do is score. He's always had good ability for other aspects of the game, it's just looking more refined.

Mbappe and kane say no. Alvarez is up there too. Kane did the same in premier league. Saying the Bundesliga is worse doesn’t change anything
 
Didn’t look fully fit to me yesterday and was a bit on the periphery

Then grabs two late goals and it’s all good

You haven’t watched Alvarez this season, he’s taken a massive step up.

Pep having us set up deeper against the rags & Arsenal has helped to play to his strengths. Against Burnley yesterday especially at 1-0 he was quiet but he ends up with 2 goals & it should have been a hatrick.

Erling is completely different to Sergio, who could bully defenders in the box because of his shorter statue but, if he doesnt have major iinjury issues will be our greatest ever goalscorer & the nonsense about his footballing abilities will be immaterial.

Sergio scored 12 goals against the rags, Erling already has 8

I don’t know about mbappe who is literally the highest rated player in the world. Not saying I am not happy with Haaland but Mbappe has the overall ability
