North Stand Construction Discussion

According to the mobile camera timeline, if it is correct?

There's no reason to think it isn't correct.

I was under the Ricky Hatton drop down banner.

Not a chance

So you're saying this and the other pics you posted of a half empty stadium were taken 5 mins before kick off....... Then why on the photo taken behind the Hatton banner are the seats directly in front of the camera all full, and yet (supposedly at almost the same time) they are then half empty....

Forgive me but are they a different brick and were they factory built ??
They look like the same brick type and I think they’ve been laid on panels off site. The fact that they’ve suddenly appeared and they’re all complete suggests that they’re bolt on panels. You can just see some silver brackets at the top on this heavily cropped imageIMG_1604.jpeg

If they are the same brick the efflorescence( (salts leaking out ) is horrendous especially if they are factory built:-(

They appear on cp's video of the 27th, but not on the 16th, having just checked back his last two.

I think you could be right, they could be panelised. Hard to see, but if you look horizontally along at the point where the angle meets, there seems to be a panel joint on each pier. I.e, wider than a typical mortar jount, unpointed (yet), and appears to be a lighter frame behind it. Be interesting how they do carry on along the horizontal band. There are no pre-cast notches along that upstand beam, to fix the panels into. Unless they 'hook' them to the top, and fix back to the underside. If we see steel lintols appearing, then they'll do that band manually.

Tbh, I didn't expect then to be pre-formed. Once they went on site elsewhere around, the quantities for just the front I thought wouldn't have been enough for a minimum for production.

On closer inspection they do appear to be “factory built” as they still require pointing in situ

I'm not saying anything.

I'm just going off the picture timeline on my mobile.

I said it could be wrong.

I was asked what time the picture was taken, and I said I didn't know.

Hence why I looked at the picture details.

Anyway, it's not a big issue.

There were plenty of empty seats dotted around the ground during the match.

As others have posted, if the club wants to fill the new NSL2 and the rest of the Etihad, it's best to start coming up with good ideas and initiatives to fill close to 62,000 seats, not only for the big games, but also for the bread-and-butter games as well.

I don't think I could take another decade of Emptyhad jibes. ;-)
