By all accounts, not been announced yet of course but an outline plan has been circulating for years now, there's various buildings going up all over the east side of the stadium. The pics will be in the Etihad site thread somewhere.

More a probable I'd have thought myself, I've just been looking at that thread and one of the first posts I came across was yours discussing the 2nd hotel :)
It's a fluid situation until they announce something. There's an interesting post from Petrusha there.

There would only be 2027 available for a good while since 2028 is the euros. Not sure how true the whole no Co-op competition for 2 years thing is but that would rule out 2026. Co-op will have been open 2 years by summer 2026.

Purely guess work, but 2 is next to the sprinklers for the hotel and on the plans somewhere they show a gate and card reader so car parking for the hotel maybe? Maybe not.
3 may be the mooted convention/exhibition centre?
4 may be the 2nd hotel?

I'm not sure about this, goes against our owners beliefs.
Having said that I hear betting laws in Abu dahbi are being relaxed.
Just a note on the old gas storage site, the original plans had a windmill to generate more power for the site and I think got rejected.
The power is going to have to come from somewhere, hence all the solar panels but would that be enough, gonna be a huge burden on the national grid.

No.2 on that a stand-alone hotel, however if or when that ever comes to pass is anyone's guess.
That image is a bit of a loose misplaced one out of context, intersting enough but wouldn't place much weight to it.
