I'm not sure they received anywhere near the same sort of response, there's calls for @Nicholas van Whatsisface to be banned for wumming, although not entirely convinced that post wasn't a WUM in itself but from the sort of responses he's received in light of his information it's plausible not to be.

I posted something that I heard directly which indicated the general view of some relatively senior people at the PL towards our case.

Nothing more. We didn’t get into a deep dive on any of it - but their position was one of bullish confidence.

There could be any number of reasons for their taking this position, and I’m not suggesting these people would be intimately involved in the case.

But if the result has already landed, and is known at the PL - I would expect them to know the general direction, if not the detail.

Mightn't help much, but I work in commercial litigation and pretty much all I know and have worked with are cocky and bullish bellends with superiority complexes (probably myself included).

tbf dave what has he backed up? Im not trying to get at nicholas but what he has said doesnt amount to anything as i keep on saying if the daily mail or sun said the same thing everybody would laugh at such nonsense, without context to the claim its just more noise. I could say exactly the opposite as like yourself im privvy to pieces of information every now and again but without context it means nothing.

Don’t name them. Don’t say where you were. Don’t say what position they hold. Don’t say anything identifiable.

But do say what they said or did to conclude they believe City’s position is without any credibility.

I don’t think anyone thinks he has lied. But it’s such a HUGE statement to make surely he didn’t think there would be no response?? The responsibility to decide whether a poster posts such a statement rests entirely with the poster - who MUST consider what sort of response it would get. Even more important when it states that the info came from SENIOR PL people.

I don't like the idea of what he said either, but it doesn't make it false. If coming after fellow blues because there potential info we don't like is the norm then buckle the fuck up bevause it could get very messy on here.

Just in light of the post, I'd be interested to know if @slbsn has had any information that the club are in receipt of the verdict or otherwise? I know the last we heard was definitely not - as of last Friday PM - has anything changed with that regard?

Having been in corporate litigation for 25+ years, I would be pretty surprised if the PL (or City, for that matter) wasn't being bullish about their chances of winning right up to the moment they got the decision. In most cases, you don't fight a fight like this and not become something of a true believer. And with the "political" nature of both the PL and this particular dispute, I think that's only more likely to be true.

I think the most important kernel from @Nicholas van Whatsisface is that the PL still doesn't know anything. We've been told no one will know until it actually drops, and this seems to me to be further indication of that being the case.

Tbh mate if pl executives are openly gloating about the potential demise of one of their member clubs to people they dont know at a corporate event and by implication calling members of a foreign royal family, the chinese government and several world class businessman and prominent members of the sports world are frauds to a complete stranger maybe those people dont derserve to have said jobs.

I was more referring to the person our end sharing info - don't want them to get into trouble for sharing too much on a football forum. Don't care about PL execs if they're running their mouths off.
