Pep didn't seem very worried, nor did he mention an X-ray or scan to determine the nature of his pain. I don't think there's anything to worry about. These are minor injuries, a logical consequence of a year without competition, and they're compensations.

otherwise even if he is fit to play against Monaco or Brentford, I am for not putting him in the group, him, like Kovacic, Khusanov, Cherki, Ait Nouri, Marmoush just to be sure that they are not called up with their national selection and stay to train and recover at the club
Major worry with Rodri now and hope he can get back to the level was at but we will not see that this season . We needs to give him that contract and not fuck about with him aswell because if savinho is worth one then an half fit Rodri is aswell .

Yet another niggle/injury - when fit he's arguably world best at 6 - but he's not been fit ever since his big injury last season and keeps missing games.

First year back from an ACL is always feeling your way back in. No one comes back 100% and no interruptions.

I’ve already explained that he’s still in recovery from his cruciate injury and operation, and may possibly be for another 6-12 months.
It was astonishing that he was back training in May, back playing in June and it is astonishing that he’s playing regularly now. Some players don’t play again until 18 months after the operation… it was just 12 months ago he had his op.
I’m not sure we can build a team around Rodri anymore & he could be the new John stones. Big injury has really de railed him. We need to replace him asap with real quality. sad but i would consider selling him while we can & get some good cash for him.
I don’t think we have time to wait to see if he stays fit or are we in a position to gamble with him

should be paired with Nico for the Brentford games; all of the other midfielders are not great passers. Who should be allowed in a more advanced role
If the plan is to use Reijnders and Foden centrally, then it really feels like we need one of the defenders to be stepping in and joining him at the base of the midfield à la Delph, Zinchenko, Stones etc. Otherwise he has far too much ground to try to cover.
Whilst it’s crazy to even think that this is now not atm th ref c Rodri we all know and love and we might not ever get that back so what if he is saying id not entirely insane but he needs help in midfield and quickly .
