The wildcard is in play. Thoughts on this 1st draft?

It's a bit thin on dippers. And I'm not sure on Minteh or Mateta but passed experience says go with the form players that have good fpl track records

Yeah, I regretted removing Enzo for Kudus after the first Chelsea goal, but the fixtures were much better for Spurs and Enzo played like crap midweek in the EFL Cup. Still time for it to work out, but it could have been triple digits.

Yeah, and I already miss Potter at WHU as that was the target before the sacking. That could have been much better if he was still there, and the new manager bounce was on display the 2nd half tonight.

I'm not concerned at all on KDH's 5th yellow as he was already on my bench for the next match vs. Crystal Palace, so that will work just fine.

Yes, I'd definitely wait to see how both clubs and players get on in their midweek fixtures. I've got both, and I have no plans of removing Mateta at this time.

FWIW, I have him in my team, and was one of many 100s stood in CB Level 3 on Saturday laughing at his miss.
Proper football > Fantasy football every time.

They're not all they're cracked up to be, believe me. A weekend in a caravan park in Prestatyn has limited appeal.


The yacht is nice, though. Apparently, he's moored up (is that the term?) in the marina down at Monaco for the game, along with some of the great and the good as his guests.

My wildcard week so closing in on the final team.

I'm set on this. Have a chunk in the bank but that helps down the line. The big call is dropping my lpool assets. Wile I see them winning games I'm just not sure who gets the points. I generally hold players from top clubs but this for me is much more focused on long term FPL form.

Why a 5m reserve keeper? Surely you just play Raya every game. Gordon took both pens in Europe with Woltemade on the pitch, he might be the best Newcastle midfielder/forward option?

I had keeper issues last season. Its not a significant amount to have 2 very good options each week. It will be Raya 9 out of 10. But you never know.

The options for Wolt would be Gyokeres who I can just afford. Or Jao Pedro, Watkins etc. All of them have questions. Very difficult to pick. With cash and free transfers I can change up from here. I suspect wolt price could go up.

Probably will stick with raya for most but I do have a good 2nd choice now. I've always just had a dirt cheap 2nd keeper.

Pedro has been very poor recently. Chelsea are very hit and miss. Same with vdv at spurs.

That's how I've played it in the past but if your main keeper gets injured or dropped you end up wasting transfers sorting it out.

This time I've managed to build ghe team I want with cash to spare so I'm good with it.

I'm selling Mateta before the deadline and keeping Pedro. Don't forget Chelsea have had players sent off in the last 2 and that's massively impacted their attack. Really good fixtures from next week as well.
