16 | Rodri 2025/26

Think we might get this a few times now with him pulling up with fairly innocuous injuries. It will be a mental thing following his long layoff.

When I watched the game this morning, watching Rodri. He just makes playing that role look an absolute piece of piss.
I like Nico Gonzalez and think he will get there but looks absolutely fooked doing the same job.

Fell apart in possession once he went off, keep him on the pitch and we have a chance.

Hopefully the injury isn't too serious.

He looks like he’s capable of playing an hour a week at the moment. Not two games in a week, not three games in a row. Just an hour a week for a bit.

We’ve put too much on him recently. Playing him against United then Napoli then Arsenal in eight days made him look like he’s taken a step backwards rather than forwards. He then had a week off due to feeling pain after that run of games and we again played him consecutively against Monaco and Brentford, five days apart, and he feels his hamstring going.

We are doing this wrong! It’s amazing that he’s playing at all yet, never mind putting runs of consecutive games on him. He needs proper recovery between performances.

would like to see him play 45 mins a game for next few games as we will need him next year more . Nico g doing well but our wingers need to step up if they can .

Rodri was subbed off on the 22nd minute and we dominated the entire 1st half at Brentford. That was the best 45 minutes of football I have seen from City. The 2nd half was not so good. But we were the 1st team to beat Brentford on their own ground this season (Chelsea, Man Utd and Villa all failed).

Doku and Bobb are doing well enough. Bobb has only just come back into City's side. He's missed more football than Rodri.

Bobb is not a winger and Savniho isnt any better. Definetly need a winger next summer, Doku seems to have improved ,but still could do a lot better.

First 45mins were great but the first 20 were even better.

Not debating that it was a great result but we're a lot more controlled with him out there.
