That's where he should get his minutes.

All of his good qualities shine there, and his negative qualities aren't as compounded.
 
1st half he played better in midfield than Reijnders has. 2nd half he played like Reijnders.

We’ve been spoiled over the last decade with the individual and collective quality of our midfielders. I guess the drop off was inevitable at some point.
 
He is brilliant at that underlapping 3rd man run, I'd say the best in our squad now that kdb has departed and got a great assist from it.

I do think he needs to do a lot more aside from making runs going forward though, has to mix his game up. He can't just look to make that run every single time we have possession, got to be able to make his mark in midfield, dropping in, making tackles etc, it's currently too easy for him to be ineffective for large periods of the game when he is in midfield. Not easy for him though he's 20 years old playing different positions, no reason why that all cannot come.
 
That's exactly the game you want him for, and in in the position you want him in it. Him and Savinho were like a pair of terriers that first 25 and linked up well for the goal. Gives Reinjders' legs a rest and meant we didn't have to start Kova with him coming back from injury. He's never going to be a world beater but he's proven he can be handy when used sparingly. Still 20 years old
 
Yep he’s convinced me. Every low level team he’s the first name in the team sheet. He has chemistry with Bobb AND Savio AND Haaland. He is a good player. Will never be in our starting lineup but if he’s okay being a role player than it’s fine with me

It’s staggering that it’s his size that people judge him on. He’s already played more top class games than midfielders like Iniesta & Scholes at the same age.
 
He's still 20. It's not out of the realm of possibility he puts on some weight and gets stronger. Look how much stronger Doku looks ages 21-23. I'm not saying he's going to be Doku strength, but males fill out well into their early 20s. If he does get stronger he'll be a formidable little bastard in that 8.

Player development isn't linear and he's still so young.
 
Never a RB imo but as a midfielder he could be a great squad player. I was delighted to see him in midfield last night. Best of luck to the young lad. He's just a baby still.
