North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

No point in them moving from South Stand level 1 really. Not sure what the benefits to the atmosphere would be?

It's a section right at the very back of the stand with the rest of the stand being made up of the family stand, GA+ seats, and some standard seats in the middle.
The big new North Stand tier would give us the first proper singing stand we’ve ever had at the Etihad.

The point would be to group more singers together than anywhere else possible in the stadium, in the first giant tier we’ve had since the Kippax was knocked down in 1994.

The large sloped roof overhead would also make a huge difference compared to SSL0 which is almost open air apart from the back rows who the rest of the ground can’t hear because of the mini overhang above their heads trapping their noise at the back of Level 0.

For me, a proper vocal stand is something that’s missing from the culture of our football club and fanbase. We’ve got the finances, the revenue, the sponsors, the manager, the players… but we’ve not had a proper vocal stand in this great era and I think it’s conspicuous in its absence from this club.

If 1894 said we are moving in there a lot will follow, the club has offered a MINIMUM of 3000 safe standing, what more can they do ? But no they will curse and moan, do fuck all and blame the club.

Ha! It’s got nothing to do with 1894. Do you honestly think 3000 singers would follow 1894 to NSL2. Stop it!! Not a chance.

You know very well the club could have started the process of creating a proper singing section on NSL2 and filled it with as many singers as possible. The club could have advertised it, pushed it, and organised it. The club has all the fan data to do that. The club could have relocated as many singers into a specific block or blocks on NSL2 if they wanted to do that. The club still hasn’t. The club has got 6 months to do that until NSL2 is open. I’ll put my head on the chopping block now. That isn’t happening.

I thought the club tried to get 1834 to work with them on moving to NS level 2 and 1834 refused to engage with them, or am I mistaken in that ?

I’m in 1894, but I’m not privy to the discussions 1894 had with the club, if they have had discussions with the club, so it would be wrong of me to comment, as I could be wrong. Sorry.

City Square outside, 2500-3000 capacity. City Hall inside, 1800 capacity (noted as a 500 bar in latest statement).

Thanks.

Can City Hall be split just for matches, and then used in full for other events?

Maybe that is how the ‘private 500 bar’ is going to be separated from the rest of City Hall?

Sorry what data does the club hold about me or any other fan that tells them I am a singer or not? the reality is any club that has a successful singing section it has been fan lead, people have been cry arseing on here for years about how the " acoustics" in the south stand stop them being able to make a decent atmosphere so now the club is offering a minimum of 3000 standing seats in a brand new one tier stand and the reaction is, no thanks as some people around me might have paid a bit more and had a nice meal before the game.

Because the atmosphere would be miles better in the new stand rather than level 1

Wasn't there a big debate months ago about corporate in the new stand and pretty much everyone said it was a shit idea if they were looking to produce some sort of blue wall. You only have to see the empty corporate seats in the south stand at the beginning of every second half and the lack of atmosphere to what what will happen here. Incredibly short sighted from the club and yet another nail in the coffin for die hard blues. They will lose another chunk of supporters that won't be replaced. We all know football is cyclical and that we don't have the tourist numbers of the red shirts, pity the club doesn't realise. Have a look at some of the old Big Match Classics and see the thousands of young kids on the terraces, something you don't see any longer. Someone at the club must know the average age of a SC holder and I guess it hasn't lowered in the past 20 years. They must also know the number of fans who have given up their cards and I don't mean the ones who have passed away I mean those that have been fucked about by the club over the years. We can't transfer tickets to other SC holders who might want to bring their kids last minute but they are now getting us to buy extra as the agencies can't flog Bournemouth at home on a Sunday. Being taken for mugs by the club executives for too long and it's just about to bite them hard

All valid, but let's be fair, the club don't say they are adding more corporate. At this point, neither in the statement nor on the emails some have kindly shared. People have jumped to that conclusion, and it has spread. They might be right, but we don’t actually know yet.

We do know some people are unfortunately being moved, and what's confusing is it an area that was not expected. The reason cited is also a bit of a surprise. But beyond that, it is mostly assumptions. Including myself in that.

The data to relocate you and other fans who want to move to a dedicated singing block/section on NSL2.

Fair enough I may be wrong, thought 1894 pulled out because they wanted 6000 safe standing not 3000 with option of more. If Im wrong apologies.

Bang on mate, the fans decide where to gather & sing not the club but here we are moaning about fuck all really, organise it and get singers in the new stand !!

It isnt all at the back though the 2 side blocks go all the way to the front.

Does anyone know how applications for new the North Stand seating will be allocated or relocated?

All the club have to do is to create a NSL2 Singing Section page on the OS, asking fans to forward their names and supporters numbers if they want to move to a dedicated new singing section/block on NSL2. The club will have the exact numbers and details of all the fans that want to relocate to a new signing section/block on NSL2. The club can then process that information and organise the season tickets and relocations for next season.

And here is the opportunity !! If we fuck this up and its just like every other stand and people moan about the atmosphere they can fuck off as this is a once in a lifetime chance to get a fantastic atmosphere in a huge stand !!

Agreed but i still think 1894 should relocate there.

From the OS:
The introduction of City Hall means that a small number of Season Ticket Members in North Stand Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1) may need to move seats ahead of the commencement of the 2026/27 season.

From the email sent to existing SC holders:
Later today, the Club will be sharing news about the North Stand expansion - including key ticketing updates and details of new matchday experiences. This announcement will include details of City Hall, a new enhanced bar experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-matchdays. This will be located at the back of Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).

If that doesn't scream corporate I don't know what does.

It’s all down to individual choice. It isn’t a group decision. My feeling is that most 1894 members will stay on SSL1.

TBH I don’t want to be stood at the back of NSL2, behind fans who are sat down in front of me. There is nothing wrong with that. That’s their choice.
