I thought that was more likely than it being terrorism as soon as I heard most of the victims hadn’t been killed.

Still speculation though, hopefully the police will be able to get to motive quickly.

I’ve had the displeasure of meeting him in person at an industry event.

It really put into sharp relief the quality of MPs compared to the quality of senior professionals in other industries.

He is a total halfwit but carries the confidence of somebody way beyond his capability. It probably works for him when he’s not in a room talking to actual experts.

There was a lady on LBC this morning who phoned up to complain about her husband. Said he’s an out-and-out racist who, when he heard of the incident, had a smile on his face when he blamed migrants. When it came out that he was British, he then moved to the perpetrator being black, and smiled again.

There are people in this great land that don’t really care about people being hurt, as long as they can use it for their own gain.

I had exactly the same experience in the pub after work yesterday tea time. Some simpleton on the next table over asked if they had released the nationality of the attacker and that exact same thing happened. I supped up and fucked off, not wasting my time being in the presence of cunts like that

The debate regarding this particular incident should be about knife crime and knife culture - wherever that takes us. Being overly bothered about misleading tweets on X (or playing left vs right politics) simply plays into the hands of those politicians who would rather have us all sing 'don't look back in anger', whilst pretending this country is as safe as its ever been. There are countries where crime and violence is such that the public have simply become de-sensitised to it. Let's hope we don't become one of those, as unfortunately the violent crime stats for the UK over the last 10 years suggest we're heading towards this.

Why would they name them if they're still alive? I often wonder if a victim of such a crime has the right to privacy. Being named could add to their trauma.
