Stephen Yaxley-Lennon

Was the terrorist at the weekend a terrorist before or after he decided to go out and kill people? Obviously it was afterwards but the Police can only prevent such things by gathering evidence and they have powers to arrest people who refuse to comply with gathering that evidence. Robinson fits into the latter which is why he was prosecuted.

The real question is what were the Police expecting to find on his phone and why? The CPS must of had a convincing case or else they wouldn't have charged him. We are not privy to what they know nor the intelligence that the security services have on him.

Will Robinson go on for example to help instigate and fuel riots again? Robinson is somebody who constantly says that there will be civil war on the streets. His backer Elon Musk has said that himself. Who knows what is on his phone and what is being planned but nobody will ever know without looking and that's perhaps the point.

The offence is classed as minor and tried in a Magistrates for a reason, it's the bare minimum of what the Police can do. It was never going to make him a terrorist but perhaps he was suspected of being involved in something. Totally understandable given his history. The judge however wasn't convinced and well that just means that there's an absence of evidence but not necessarily an absence of reason.

Btw - attempting to overthrow the government, instigate civil war or instigate riots for a political cause does potentially class you as a terrorist as Palestinian Action have found out.
They went after him for who he is. They want to ruin his life with expensive court battles, they should probably stop now seeing as Musk is bankrolling his legal teams. Doesn’t really sit right with me that the police are wasting their time targeting people they don’t like.

The bungling politicians have made Robinson into a hero by victimising him. They did the same when they gagged Gerry Adams.

From the whatsapp group leaks and recent undercover exposes I’d suggest a huge chunk of our police like him a lot

You sound like you would prefer a police state :)

A convicted criminal who has started and instigated riots in the past and would probably like to see a civil war? He is also bankrolled by a foreign billionaire who similarly has said these exact things?

I can sort of see exactly why the Police and security services would take a very special interest in Robinson.

Can I ask, is this out of what you perceive to be injustice, or/and a liking for Robinson?

can't stand the fucker but if it goes to court you accept and respect the court verdict. Thats how it should and does work in a democracy
Think that’s fair comment.

Maybe his brief made a difference, or maybe the Judge had already made their mind up beforehand.

‘They’ reckon that only in 20% of cases does the advocacy, as long as it is competent on both sides, make any difference. Don’t completely agree with that figure, but it’s definitely no more than a third.

If someone’s made their minds up, there’s fuck anyone can say or do to shift them. No matter how silver tounged they are.

It’s a marginal art.

Move to the right a bit
I move about more than most. I’m a centrist, and I understand why white working class people feel hugely let down. And they are entitled to.

And I have many right wing friends who are smart. In fact the smartest person I ever met was pretty right wing.

So I’m not making a political point. Just an intellectual one.

Yes but we’re living in a totalitarian two tier kier state where people get locked up for ‘hurty words’ … so surely he should have been found guilty under our new regime.

The judge pretty much said they went after him for who he was. Whether you like him or not, trying to lock him away to keep his mouth shut is wrong and something we should be all against.

I don’t think him being found not guilty proves that there isn’t a two tier policing system. This shouldn’t even have gone to court, it only wasted a shit load of peoples time and money.

Oh yeah, they’ve definitely taken a special interest in him, that is for certain.
