Need to improve our away form to completely make me believe because it’s not convincing up to now and Newcastle away is a good game to see if we go back to the Villa performance! Long way to go still with this team..
The Villa performance wasn't actually bad though. We were unlucky, lost to a good strike, just one of those days we often had in the last 10 years IMO. Nothing like last season.Need to improve our away form to completely make me believe because it’s not convincing up to now and Newcastle away is a good game to see if we go back to the Villa performance! We need to keep the momentum and feel good factor going after the weekend just gone, it's vital. We really don't need a Villa away type performance which wasn't too clever let's be honest.
I thought we were a bit meh in that Villa game but like you say, nowhere near as bad as last season or the season before for that matter. No Rodri or Nico G in the starting line-up was probably a factor. It won't be often that neither of them start for us.The Villa performance wasn't actually bad though. I said after that game we had another few of those type of performances in us looking ahead. If we can minimise them and keep this type of tempo going then it could be a very nice season.Villa pissed me off loads because I reckon we'd have won it comfortably if Nico would have been fit enough to start.
Beating Liverpool was enjoyable but Utd beat Liverpool at Anfield and Liverpool have not won a domestic away game in 2 months. This season City threw off the vestiges of old age unlike Liverpool who quite stupidly embraced the old, and who now pay the price. What is more convincing is the league table after 11 matches and the emergence of a new Manchester City. Pep is comfortable in his skin. He has revitalised City, whilst Arsenal, and their coach carry an aura of stress. We wait for them to crack. Can only beat what’s in front of you mate, and what i saw us beat was the premier league champions 3-0 :-)
The famous Anfield Kopites couldn’t deal with the Etihad atmosphere once again and got run over.
Absolutely. Wet wipes and fannys.A lot have given up without a ball being kicked,
That for me is being a wet wipe and a soft ****
You were. and so were all the other fannies who said liverpool were showing Pep and our club how to buy and spend and buy the PLWithout a soild right back at the club, i would say it's liverpool's to lose.. great buisness they've done this summer.. i hope i am wrong
United were playing Liverpool right in the middle of a slump.Beating Liverpool was enjoyable but Utd beat Liverpool at Anfield and Liverpool have not won a domestic away game in 2 months. Long way to go yet.. but good to see l'pool in the slumps :)You were. and so were all the other fannies who said liverpool were showing Pep and our club how to buy and spend and buy the PL
All performances are relative. I give more significance to the outcome of 11 league games than a one-off game against a dysfunctional Liverpool. They haven't recovered regardless of what BBC Football might say. They somersault every week.United were playing Liverpool right in the middle of a slump.
We played (and dominated) Liverpool after they had just defeated and made Madrid look ordinary plus with an extra days rest.
Liverpool weren’t great but we were very good let’s not undersell that performance.
O'Reilly has been a revelation but I think the real reason for this points return is him allowing us to partner Gvardiol and Dias at CB.Fun fact:
We haven't lost a league game with O'Reilly in the first XI: 11 wins and 2 draws. We have won with him 35 pts from 39 available.
Our only loss in all compets with him was in the FA Cup final vs Palace.
I assume you wrote "North London Derby" rather than Spurs because the latter makes it clear it's anything but tricky? ;)Arsenal’s first two PL games after the international break will hopefully prove tricky. North London Derby at home followed by away at Chelsea
