Whatever deal Ukraine might be strong armed into eventually accepting by the US (which definitely won’t be this iteration) the notion that once that happens Russia can simply go back to where it was in the world in January 2022 is utterly delusional. The notion of Putin stood at the G7 for a photo-op with Carney and Macron etc..is preposterous.

I think there are plenty of people who are neutral to lukewarm on Russia who underestimate the depth of feeling in those who are less well disposed towards them as a country, which includes most governments in Western Europe.

I can only speak for myself, but I would boycott any company that tries to engage with Russia after all this has finished and would not wish to watch any sporting tournament that they were involved in as a nation, and I believe there are plenty of others like me.

Russia cannot be seen to be rewarded in any way for its egregious actions, not just in 2022 towards Ukraine, but before and since to the whole of Europe.

They are, by any objective measure, bullies and horrible cunts in terms of how, as a nation, they treat others.
 
People keep referring to this as a "deal", there is no deal, and it won't be accepted in any form like has been set out.

Not only will Ukraine not accept it, Europe won't accept it either, sadly that means the war will continue, not good for the Ukrainian people obviously, but it's not good for the russian people either, as their economy slowly collapses, eventually leading them back into scenes reminiscent of the worst soviet times.
 
Looking like that Orange **** is strong-arming Ukraine to give up territory.
What an absolute shitshow.
We need a stong reaction from Europe but, I doubt it'll come.
