There is absolutely no excuse for that.
Root and Stokes are world class cricketers- Crawley shouldn’t be on the tour. You are right that there’s been a lack of preparation for this series in terms of match practice on hard pitches.
Yes there is, he got 20 runs playing like that, invaluable runs. Got more than stokes crawley and root got in 6 inningsThere is absolutely no excuse for that.
We been playing Crawley the last few years just got the ashes in Australia because they said it suits his batting! Well he has 8 innings left
They seem to like the little and large comboPresently on an average of zero. He’s done nothing in the last few years to justify his place and we have missed out on giving someone else a chance.
It’s fucking dumb. Atkinson looking in great nick. At least tell the tail try and get Atkinson on strike and let him score. Oh no, let’s try and hit every ball for 6.Seems bit mad but they tell the tail don’t hang around just smash it and that happens! Wood can swing the bat too! Is around 200 enough? We will soon find out
Not in my view. The bowlers gave us over 60 runs playing that way, much more than any of us realistically expected. We should be looking more at how the batters got outIt’s fucking dumb. Mental stat. I’ll settle for Australia being bowled out for 202 though!66 years since a Test match saw all four innings end under 200 runs or less all out. It happened last week — it needs to happen again!
TeaIs it change of innings or tea?
Atkinson absolutely and Carse played well. Archer just needed to get Atkinson on strike and let him play but that sums up our approach. Not in my view.
