If they don't win it this year then they never will. It's there for the taking.
Nobody forced you to sign Holding or any other players. Stop making excusesSo 2 world class players as opposed to Holding who couldn't start in the Championship after he left. The PL is a squad game
At that point in Arsenal's development players like Holding were 'our level'. We were hoping to get Top 4 and being in a title race was a shock. We were lucky that we had a young Saliba return from loan and turning out unexpectedly to be a baller but really we were very surprised to be where we were in the table (to coin the City phrase 'we're not really here'). We had signed Jesus and Zinchenko but it's not as if we'd signed KDB and Foden - it was City cast-offs.Nobody forced you to sign Holding or any other players. Stop making excuses
If I remember City's "castoffs" were being hailed as potential Balloon D'Or winners by the media that season . Two more brilliant players that City "let go or didn't treat well" see also Palmer, Grealish , KDB As for CL money more like buoyed by interest free Shareholder Loan Payments Nothing to see here .At that point in Arsenal's development players like Holding were 'our level'. It was only then that Kroenke Jr took over the reigns more with the remit of making Arsenal a force, buoyed by Champions League money. We signed Rice and it all stepped up from there in terms of trying to transform the club into regular 'expected' challengers instead of surprise packages.
Well they were sub players at City but walked into the 1st team at Arsenal at that stage. Don't forget Arsenal ran City close in 2 seasons - the 1st time against a team that won the treble and the next season against a team that was one bad match at Wembley away from winning a double. The Dippers champions of last season were nowhere near the level of that City side, and the current City side is a way off the level of the team that Arsenal ran close yet Arsenal today are a much better side than we were in those seasons hence the logical conclusion would be that this is our time to finally get the damn thing across the finishing line, but of course you never know.If I remember City's "castoffs" were being hailed as potential Balloon D'Or winners by the media that season . Simple as this.If they don't win it this year then they never will. It's there for the taking.
Don’t you have a tarquin site to post on? ;-)Well they were sub players at City but walked into the 1st team at Arsenal at that stage. Re the Balon D'Or thing, don't forget much of the sports media is London based and are Arsenal fans. The rest are Rags with a few Dippers as well.

So were these two of those players you bought with interest free loans? Would it be okay for our owners to loan us the odd billion or two on such a basis? So 2 world class players as opposed to Holding who couldn't start in the Championship after he left. The PL is a squad game
Absolutely bizarre response to a post that was responding to you moaning about injuries. Unbelievable JeffSo 2 world class players as opposed to Holding who couldn't start in the Championship after he left. The PL is a squad game
Everyone else is well below par.Unstoppable this season unfortunately , certainly better than us
No it won't be, Leicester was a one off, Arsenal have finished second 3 years in a row so this won't be a fluke if they get it done.Everyone else is well below par.
If everyone was firing these bellends wouldn’t be top.
If they win it then it'll be another Leicester.
Yeah you're right. No it won't be, Leicester was a one off, Arsenal have finished second 3 years in a row so this won't be a fluke if they get it done.
They don't get as warm a welcome as they do here.Don’t you have a tarquin site to post on? ;-)
Sorry, I know this is a City forum so I'll try not to tub thump too much but this is a side that finished a close 2nd to a treble winning city side and then another excellent City side the season afterwards. By a point. Since then this side has improved a lot. It's vastly better to the team that was pipped by City. So I think IF Arsenal win this season it will be with a side that would have won many other PL seasons. Certainly we'd have won the last 2 PL seasons with this squad if we go on the basis that a vastly inferior squad almost won in 24 and that Dippers side last season was nothing special they just had no competition.Everyone else is well below par.

Our squad isn’t as good as theirs that’s the issue. We went to our bench yday looking to change the game and we had nothing there. I include Marmoush in that who looks like the wish version of salah. Time was our bench started for most teams in the world. They didn’t have to play that well to beat Spurs who were all over the place. A slick city would hunt these lot down but we are miles off this season. Need to get rid of the dead wood and buy proper quality.
