FA Cup - 3rd Round Draw - Exeter H - (KO TBC)

Exeter Web site says 3pm Saturday.

bbc has it as 3pm KO Sat 10th.
Saturday at three is the default settings on most sites. For PL games that time is pretty much nailed on once TV picks are announced. For the FA Cup I'd wait until City (or Exeter) confirm it. The rags playing on Sunday means it's certain to be Saturday and it makes no sense to kick-off other than at three.

I think for Foc's the 3rd round of the Cup was so special.
Balloons, Silver cup cut outs, I'm dreaming of a blue Wembley, Saint and Greavsie, Magic of the Cup, giant killings, Jimmy Hill, The Road to Wembley, Halifax, Notts County,Villa Park, Sat 3pm.Replays.

Now it's just about empty seats at Wembley-:)
jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that. Marvellous.

There’s all the foreign tv picks to come yet. There’ll be loads of these games currently showing as 3pm Sat that end up getting moved to say 2pm Sunday or 12.30pm Saturday.

PL teams in all games, no wonder grassroots football is such a mess. How about showing PNE v Wigan, Stoke v Coventry, Port Vale v Fleetwood or Cambridge v Birmingham. Who the fuck wants to see Spurs v Villa, Rags v Brighton etc.
The reality is that an awful lot more people will tune in to watch United V Anyone, than all those other games mentioned and that's pretty much all the broadcasters care about.

It's easier for foreign channels to show the same games.
The problem for fans wanting to attend matches is that a huge number of websites, including clubs, broadcasters and sports news sites, show 3pm on Saturday rather than TBC

That's the excuse for commercial broadcasters looking to screw armchair fans and advertisers but not for the BBC.
Their excuse is that they are overloaded with bloody rags.

No problem with this one not being on the telly. Can’t see many outside of blues and Exeter fans being interested. Likely to be a bit of a 3,4,5-0 walkover and a pretty boring game for a neutral. No real jeopardy in it. If we were away then that’s another thing altogether.
There’ll be as many, probably more, watching the rags hoping they get hammered as there’ll be hoping they win.
Would love to see more teams down the pyramid getting shown though, TV fees could make a big difference for them.
I’d love to see a proper “road to Wembley” season where BBC or TNT pick a team from the first round and follow that through. Like a winner stays on thing.

Surely the game will stay at 3pm now that the televised games have been selected.

I got lucky, I bought my daughter a hospitality package for City v Everton WSL from Santa on the 11th January...I was hoping City v Exeter would stay on the Saturday, I can now get to both games as I'm staying over on the Saturday night.

I think the BBC did that some years ago, starting with Wembley FC.

Happening for years too.

The teams keep all the money now from game, there is higher prize money and additional losing prize money, with a lot of changes in the past 5 years to help the smaller clubs.

Exeter have had a lucky draw getting City, telly or no telly. They will get about £244k based on Salford prices, VAT and concession assumptions.

Think it may the worst atmosphere we're going to see all season at this one
Salford, this time last year, was a great atmosphere. Not in a 1970s, you're gonna get your fucking head kicked in, kind of way. But the average age at that game was probably about 20 years younger than for league games. Thousands of kids, many making their first trip no doubt. All having a great day. Exeter should be similar.
