Further ahead in terms of timescale (a future possibility), or progress having been made (an earlier possibility)?Interest is certainly there. Unsure what our finances are in Jan.
Think Semenyo is a bit further ahead.

£65m release in Jan - £50m in summer.
Hence why Liverpool are praying we don't move in Jan, as they can't afford it then :)
He has been told by Holland he has to leave or his World Cup spot is in danger.
More like MarmoushSavinho out to accommodate?

Not sure that's how it works?Grealish potentially not having access to an AT spot would diminish his transfer fee as the buying clubs would wait until the last week of the window.
Isn’t his release clause only active on the first week of the window? I think a journalist somewhere reported that.
Might make sense why we are further along with him.
The buying club knows that we need to offload him before the window shuts, so they’ll wait until the end of the window, when we’ll have to take a lower offer or have another Phillips. Not sure that's how it works?
The AT value is to the buying club and resides with the player, not whether his current club are utilising his status.
I thought I’d seen that as well. But so many people out there on socials claiming they know stuff these days it could be incorrect infoIsn’t his release clause only active on the first week of the window? I think a journalist somewhere reported that.

He’s actually being used like a back up to Haaland currently as opposed to being shoe horned in the team out of position at 10 or on the left.More like Marmoush
That's any unwanted player in any window though. His AT status isn't relevantThe buying club knows that we need to offload him before the window shuts, so they’ll wait until the end of the window, when we’ll have to take a lower offer or have another Phillips.
I'm sure he was bought as back up to Haaland but was also expected to cover wide left and 10. I don't think Pep trusts him in either of those positions. Plus on the rare occasion when he does play as a back up striker he is physically weak. His playing time has been and will continue to be limited in my opinion, a bit like his technical ability. He’s actually being used like a back up to Haaland currently as opposed to being shoe horned in the team out of position at 10 or on the left.
I don’t expect him to leave unless he asks for it.
Potentially. I just don’t think we are ready to give up on Marmoush just yet. There’s definitely a player there and if he’s only playing if Haaland doesn’t only natural he won’t be 100% as he isn’t playing enough to be in a rhythm.I'm sure he was bought as back up to Haaland but was also expected to cover wide left and 10. Semenyo can cover left and right and I wonder if the club look at him and think he has the physical attributes to cover Haaland when necessary.
Tonight’s goal might help lol :)Don't get my hopes up! I think we missed that boat.
Seems like a very uncity like transfer this, have we ever signed anyone in a tussle with other clubs for the signing
We have swooped in when others have failed. Bernardo for example.Seems like a very uncity like transfer this, have we ever signed anyone in a tussle with other clubs for the signing
Preparing for the impending loss of homegrown players i suppose.A lot of raiding the premier league clubs if we go by our targets. Semenyo, Livramento , Guehi and Anderson. Change of strategy maybe? Normally we have targets in other leagues but it’s just been premier league players.
