FC United Thread

They thought when the started off they’d sweep everyone aside , 8000 crowds at Bury etc and now crowds just over a 1000 , flash in the pan club , no soul no future …..

Halifax - The Bridges Shopping Centre, Sunderland

Match off at pallet park tonight as the pitch is flooded. they’ll be moaning about missing matches again, completely overlooking that the game will still be paid, the 800 odd people who would have turned up tonight will still turn up in a Tuesday in January.

Hoping for lots more rain around here between now and the weekend so Saturday’s game goes the same way and we can go a week without the rags turning up

Oh dear. I wonder how much did it cost to have the programmes printed?
Of course they can keep them and sell at the rearranged game but the printer will want paying asap.
Tick tock

They beat Lancaster 2 1 at home today to go third in the table. That’s their best position for years, you’d think everything would be rosy….

Meanwhile on the Saturday before Christmas & their only home game in December the attendance is only 1724. On top of that the red rebels are rebelling again against the board who made one of their first acts since being re-elected to try and enact a policy to make sure all of the volunteers who are desperately needed to work on a match day to make sure their games go ahead have paid for a ticket.

The volunteers are pretty upset calling it a Jim Radcliffe like move. Seems like they’ve underestimated the value of the volunteers and chose a strange time of year to piss them all off.

So who is ensuring the board members have paid for their tickets!
They really are the Rebels Without A Clue

Lancaster were one place behind the Bucketeers so expect they’d have bought a more than usual away support to Pallet Park

I drove past FC United's ground earlier today on the way to our game and was most disturbed to see our local constabulary's interest in a black Lamborghini in their club car park.

For the safety of the Manchester's only Premier League attending public, I hope all was above board, ship shape and in order with the humble car's owner.

Sheikh Mansour
Went to Lightbowne
In his Lamborghini
Came back with a red bucket
To shake for the council tenancy

Attracted a crowd of 4,784 today! Unfortunately for them, it was away at Hednesford in their top of the table clash. Ended up 1-1, so mini-rags remain 5 points behind the Pitmen, but with 2 games in hand.
That’s around 80 miles each way for the bucketeer splitters.

Quite a trip for a club that is over £1m in debt to its council.

Also worth noting that Hednesford Town are proper, old-school, non-league club with an almost 150 year history. Although they’ve never played higher than a handful of seasons in the National League/ NL North a few years back, they’ve always been well-supported and play at an absolutely cracking ground. Which they (gasp!) pretty much paid for themselves!

615 of them were travelling bucketeers. Other good crowds locally saw Macclesfield promoted to the league above them get 4265 & bury in the league below them got 5337 vs clitheroe.

Generally non league crowds are on the up as people are priced out & enjoy having a beer. Fc buck that trend, proving that they’re nothing special. their tribute act hasn’t appealed to the people of moston & their crowds are in decline. That’s why they’ve relied on constant council hand outs while claiming they’re doing things differently, pointing out they don’t have a benefactor & generally being smug about the fuck ups they’ve presided over for 20 years.
