That’s funny because others say that’s what makes him great. Dropping deep. Feel like the reasoning for bad games of his changes every week.

For me he just isn’t that good this season as some make it seem. yeah he can score out of nowhere ( same position) but there are many games where he barely made impact like today. Not a #10 and don’t know why we force him to play the #10 when our most creative midfielder plays on the right

Very talented though. I guess my threshold of what i consider truly world class is different. Yeah he's had brilliant moments and brilliant season two years ago but he's not kicking on and not consistent enough to be world class. He's closer to 30 than 20 now too.

Cherki created one chance for Savio in the second half, but otherwise did nothing.

We've scored the most goals in the league by A LOT with Foden as the 10. Scoring more goals/creating chances is the least of our issues.

But he is a #10. His best games this season have come in that position. Pep seems to think he's an #8, or even deeper sometimes, and I've no idea why.

Sorry for telling the truth I know the golden boy is special and someone you shouldn’t criticize in here. As another one stated here. There’s a reason others don’t think of him as highly as most here do. When your creative impact comes from the player on the RW instead of the guy who plays behind the striker then you can definitely ask yourself why they are not switching positions.

Where should I start? Foden has 3.08 xA in the league this season. That's in the 94th percentile of all players in the league. He only has two assists off that, mainly because Haaland misses whenever Phil passes to him for whatever reason. He's also scored seven goals on top of that, which is top for anyone other than strikers in the league. In what world is that not good enough? Even today, you said he did nothing, yet he created the most chances of anyone, and has two assists if not for better finishes.

Yamal and Saka, off the top of my head, are all the creative hubs on the right for their teams. Why don't they play behind the striker as well, based on your logic?

I agree. Majority of English City fans are blinded when comes to him and afraid to be critical

Has amazing ability but lacks the nous and general playmaking instincts of a world class No.10.

He's arguably not a starter for the England team, simply down to the fact he isn't able to completely prove he's a cut above the competition for his place these days. Is that world class?. Our fans seem to think there's some agenda against him but there isn't. He simply isn't able to able to stamp his authority and make a place his with no doubts and his competition aren't players we would call world class...

yup thats exactly what I meant. Same reasoning when he stunk up the place in the European competition for England and people here complained that it was Bellingham and saka‘s fault. Put the pink glasses off and stop being delusional. In terms of creative output he is a big step down from KDB/ Silva or Nasri and already outshined by Cherki who is playing on the wing until he is „ ready „ in Pep‘s eyes. Nothing wrong with accepting that he isn’t a creative player. There’s a reason he barely gets 3-4 assists a season to Haaland despite playing next to him
