If you have the tools to do it, then Yes park the bus and grind out results, but we are down to the bare bones in defence again and no fullbacks

We gave up 6 big chances. We also had both their fullbacks on yellows in the first half and generated nothing - I don't blame the wingers too much for that, as they were frequently outnumbered due to our FBs/system.

Ummm.. we got a proper battering today.

We were all over the place and they played like 1 unit, created more chances, had more chances to score goals while we had no midfield press. They sliced us open like a damascus knife.

We badly need FIVE midfielders since we're not dominating the middle and I'm not convinced Rico/ Reijnders/ Foden/ Nico Gonzales are the answer.

Oh and we need to find a replacement for Rodri too.

They hit the post twice, had 3 goals disallowed, scored 2 an Donnarumma made a few good saves. We were hammered!
Possibly the worst Derby performance since we had Simon Tracey in net when they beat us 5-0 in the 90s

Baring brief periods the side hasn't been set-up for the players we have for around 18 months.
Last season I put some of it down to a combination of fatigue, aging players and missing Rodri.
This season it's clear we're trying to play the same football with players unsuited to it, coupled with a change in dynamic of the other teams and it's a disaster.
Can't wait to get Gonzales back - stick him alongside Rodders and get some physicality/cover about us. Try and draw teams out rather than them letting us sleepwalk to the edge of the box recovering the ball and spanking it over the top of most of our side

And who is to be plamed other than Pep. If he can't see this simple fact then it is catastrophic.

If L'Equipe marked this game, every single City player would get 0, apart from Donna, Khusanov and Doku, althought the last two would probably be like 0.5.

If we were a Serie A team, the team would be confronted at the parking lot by our Ultras for that abomination they've been served.

I’ll stand by the fact that he was the relief valve when we were ridiculously shaky in the first half.

Whenever we had any control of the game, or moving through the gears in the middle of the park, it was because of him.

To be fair United did play well and arguably had a stronger bench than us. They also had that new manager bounce.

I actually think they were more dominant today than we were in the 6-1, albeit without the goals.

That said as well as they played, we were equally as poor and it was as bad a performance as I can remember under Pep.

Can’t get over just how bad that was. No fight, no character and no tactics. That was an embarrassment from the whole side other than Donnarumma.

Not good enough. No win in 4 PL games.

No urgency, body language poor all round. Players walking around, not getting back. Piss poor and if Pep has the audacity to say we played well then it’ll be yet another nail in his quickly-closing coffin IMO.

Poor results are fine. I guess. But poor performances aren’t. And it’s been consistently shit for weeks.

I’d be gleeful if that was the last time I see some of those again in a City shirt.

They should’ve been down to 10 men anyway but I doubt that would’ve made a difference. We’re so tepid, so predictable and we’re a dream for teams to play against because of how we set up.

It’s tactical suicide from Pep and even worse when you consider he never fucking changes. Quickly becoming a dinosaur tactically IMO.

And if he continues to pick his favourites then the sooner he goes the better. The only way he won’t play Ake is if he’s not here. Same with Bernie. Same with Gundo last season.

Keeping Ake on instead of Alleyne is enough for serious questions to be asked. Ignorant the fact he can’t run and has been shit for over a year, he’s just come back from injury and played 90 minutes midweek as well. And Pep then wonders why players get injured. He overplays them and it fucks them and then us.
