I don’t understand why we always seem to be converting players from their proper positions: Fabian Delph, Zinchenko, Nunez, Stones etc. Why can’t we ever get the right players in their proper positions? It may be necessary from time to time due to injuries, but we’ve been doing it for so long now, why? A solid defence is the foundation that you can build from so why is it always so makeshift?A proper pair of defensively-minded full backs. Some who have YouTube highlights of something they've done in their own half would make a change, and would turn things around overnight.
Other positions can be taught, but I don't think that I've ever seen a player 'converted' into a proper full back and I've been watching football since the 60s. You have the instinct, or you don't.

Pep’s tactics and playing style is the problem. We have all the tools to beat anyone, but passing the ball from side to side at walking pace isn’t the way forward. The number of times we were in trouble today with a long ball played over the night line wasn’t acceptable.
