That's what City(and other PL clubs) should be charging every game. Gonna be more empty seats for unattractive games when the North stand 3rd tier is open. Unless City stop being greedy and taking core fans for granted.

So members can buy 3 tickets and sell them to whoever they want but season card holders can't transfer to known City fans-make that make sense!
I'll make it make sense; it isn't too difficult.
Fan transfers ticket - City get nowt.
Member buys ticket(s) - City get a few quid.
It's the sort of stunt you can get away with when brand loyalty plays such a huge role in an industry's finances. However it could well bite them on the bum when they open the new stand.
On the other hand; if the stand is opened with low prices they might get decent sales in there with members buying extra tickets. But any tickets transferred by ST holders will be for other areas so the extension will look less full.
The potential high number of empty seats in the extension for the rest of this season means anybody on the upper tiers will be able to access the new area to give themselves a chance to sample the view.

Matchday members can't transfer tickets, there's no mechanism to do it other than scan the person in, AFIK.

The clubs hierarchy really need to be looking at this thread and with it,so many concerns of match day supporters. New stand, I wouldn't open it until next season, otherwise it'll be a fuck up with kneejerk decisions on ticketing and pricing etc. I'd genuinely open up 4000 to new season ticket holders who are on the waiting list(and there's a good few) and the other 2000 sold at 25 to 35 for the lesser games(10 to 15 for kids) then the 6 or so top games no more than 50 to 60(20 to 25 for kids) then i think it'll be sold out every game. The club has the chance right now to lock down our next generation of blues NOW! Please don't put greed in front of future growth City, PLEASE! Ok, these sums I'm suggesting aren't set in concrete,I'm just thinking that these sort of prices wouldn't put off most locals. And thats the word,LOCALS, don't alienate the local born n bred blues who got us out of the 2nd division with average crowds of just under 30'000 just to appease JCLs who will dissappear in a puff of smoke soon as the good times stop. Please MCFC, sort it out whilst you still can. P.S And sort this bloody transfering tickets rule out too.

Excellent post, pal.

I held a SC for years until end of 20/21 season when i gave it up to become a full time carer for my elderly mum. During the years of having a SC I got plenty of supporter survey emails wanting to know if i ate and drank in the stadium, used club carparks etc. But what surprised and saddened me after not renewing is i didn't receive one single email asking why i didn't renew which meant the club didn't give a fuck about me and thousands of blues who had given up their SC's for whatever reason.

And when i could be bothered to do those club survey emails i told them i rarely ate and drink in the stadium due to high costs and low quality. I said i rarely bought from the club store and also said i never used club carparks and parked for free on Clayton Lane, so they made very little extra revenue from me.

And we all know the club put day drip tourists before loyal fans who've been attending through many dark seasons of relegation and disappointment of annual abject failure under achieving for over 3 decades before the takeover.

But the club don't give a fuck about you or me and he or she and how long you've been a blue. They care much more about spending money at games.

And the club pricing locals out and taking them for granted will definitely have(and has) a knock on effect in future years, especially when match day tourists don't find us attractive anymore.

I have attended several games per season since i gave up my SC and still hardly buy food and drink, and i cannot park for free, travelling to games mostly on jam packed trams so I'm ok watching games on my dodgy fire stick app and i never miss watching a game whether in attendance or on TV. At least watching on TV i get watch the many controversial VAR replays and biased anti City decisions, unlike at the game when I'm stood there wondering whilst waiting the outcome.

Maybe the club have seen what's been happening with none sales and empty seats and thought..fuck me, we need to rethink this new stand! Maybe, just maybe they have been reading these posts. I know the last few years they've most definitely put the JCLs in front of us (so called) legacy supporters. Like you, I seldom buy food at the ground and only the odd pint if I'm not driving(which is not often) so we're defo not their target audience. But when the grounds half empty and the JCLs can't be arsed in the lesser games, they'll come crawling back to us, the thing is, many won't want to. DO THE RIGHT THING CITY!

Brentford's returned allocation now on sale. Plenty have already been snapped up

Forest have reintroduced a young adult season ticket for 18-21 year olds because price jump was massive from junior to adult prices. Prices still seem far to high for the product on display. Even though prices have been frozen im still paying nearly £50 per game for my ticket. Been in my current seat for about 15 seasons now but find it harder to attend every home game now due to changes in kick off times. This season only 1 home match has been at 3 on a Saturday. City like Forest have been known as a traditional local supporting club and as many have said when you lose that backing it is very hard to recover it So who ever the owner is they should not take supporters for granted.

Going a long way in the Europa League is presumably a big factor in terms of the lack of Saturday games. I remember rags complaining about the same thing last season.

It’s a difficult conundrum. You want your club to be successful but there’s invariably a price to pay for it.
