For those discussing the word “imminent”, it really means different things to different people. For those not involved in the decision, that’s most of us, then we are using it to describe an expectation using precedence BUT to those directly involved then they will only use it when they believe they are ready to release it or have an expected date of release that is within a reasonable amount of time. So technically it can be imminent and not imminent at the same time because there appears to be no mechanism for one side to officially inform the other.

And another thing, I am currently working on a project whereby I was telling people that it would be finished imminently however delivery has since become unknown due to unforeseen circumstances. The imminence status can sometimes be fluid.


And now, that’s all clear … just be patient everyone.

Unless the irrefutable proof is a video of Masters forging the documents, I suspect it will take a while to get through everything.

You'd hope the PL had some sort of evidence to have bothered and we've then said we can show it's incorrect. That is likely to be thousands of pages of intricate financial information and associated emails from both sides.

I'm no lawyer but I've bought a couple of houses and they can string a simple transaction out for months, so this is likely to be decades of billable work.

No. I didn't because I have said it many times before and it is fucking obvious.The club has spent close to £1bn on discretionary spend since the charges.

As for the players being assured of a positive outcome, that is clear. But even City and the lawyers admit nothing is certain in these situations (and before someone says it - yes, even if you consider you didn't do it and have what you consider irrefutable proof).
