Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Now that I've calmed down a bit. I genuinely believe that this will be a seriously good squad/team next season, but is not yet. It will be a good season, for where this team are in their development, if they win, say, one of the domestic cups, and get CL qualification.
This is not going to be one of the vintage seasons, and anyone can see it.
Nobody will think of sacking Pep — you do not sack a man with that kind of credit in the bank, Mubarak and the sheik will not so much as contemplate it for one second — but I'm now starting to think he may walk at the end of the season. It has to be envisaged. If he feels that his tactics have become stale, if he feels that the team is no longer buying into his way of doing things — he'll walk, of his own accord. He's set the rebuild in motion, and I for one am very glad he didn't go at the end of last season.
There are very, very good players out there on that pitch. They have to be brought together and welded, to function as a team. They have to rediscover that sheer, cussed determination that so often won games, and pocketed all three points, in the last ten minutes, sometimes in the last three minutes. Simply because they accepted nothing less. When did we last see that happen? Not easy to forge a team, and then inculcate that into them, however good they are. Can Pep do it one more time? Not sure. Honestly… not sure any more. And he may just be asking himself the same question…

Sorry i read it on City Extra twitter and I misread it. The quote was a reference to this year not this season. Sorry about that I'm a bit discombobulated at the moment.

I think a managerial change could be for the better but in the summer. I know it's kneejerk wanting Pep sacked now as that's not going to happen, he's more than earned until the end of the season when he can get a proper send off.

I don't mind you calling me names, I'm having a go at your posts so I'd expect some blowback.
We are all blues at the end of the day (well mostly, there's a few I'd question on here) and we all want the best for our club.
What will be will be. No masking today though, every bit of criticism for the second half is deserved and that makes me sad. Absolutely no excuses for how that last 45 panned out.

Haaland is not the problem ? its Pep letting his once unbreakable guard slip down

Having a couple of days off right bang right in the middle of a big game in the title races ? Family matters ok i could understand it, but being at a rally, a political rally ? That's not right

Yep, I agree, although at least Semenyo is scoring regular goals ..... Haaland just nets the odd one, and you can bet he'll produce nothing at Anfield next week.
