PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Does anyone feel like the club should be doing more ? One statement about irrefutable evidence and not much more from khaldoon at the end of season updates …. It just feels hard on us fans that have to suffer.
This has been spoken about so many times. Khaldoon is acting professionally, just as expected when there’s a serious legal case ongoing. It is hard on us fans, but it’s not his fault, yet anyway!

Precisely this. It’s fucking me right off. You can’t read a single story about City anywhere without the comments section being full of “115” and “cheats” bollocks. Yes we should rise above it and take no notice but it’s 3 years now and it’s draining and tiresome. Probably exactly what the red cartel wants.

A very good mate of mine won’t let it drop. He’s well-adjusted, amenable, chilled out, intelligent… we went out for a meal not long ago as he was passing through Birmingham and had a good old natter and catch up about life in general. But when the subject of City comes up it’s like Jekyll and Hyde - you can feel the bile from the other end of the chat group. He is so convinced we are cheats and guilty and deserve the book being thrown at us. Every loss or draw, he’s crowing in our Whatsapp group. Even when I was complaining about Solanke’s first goal at the weekend being a foul, the response was “City have unashamedly and blatantly broken FFP rules for years so it’s only fair really.” I mean, where do you even start?

I’m at the stage now where I don’t care if we’re guilty as sin, I just want it over with.
Wild guess, Villa fan.

Classic times!

36p/min in 1993 (where this screenshot is from) is apparently equivalent to nearly 80p/min these days. Wonder if anyone ever called it? I was 9 in ‘93 - my parents would have gone mental.
Think around 1989/1990 it was 25p a minute cheap rate and 38p a minute at all other times. Always used to make sure I was in work when I phoned up!

This is spot on. I simply can't believe that if the charges had substance, that any half-competent lawyer would have allowed them to include the Mancini stuff, 10 years after the arrangement had ended. Or anything to do with Etihad, etc., following the CAS hearing. It stinks of pure desperation.
I simply can’t believe that the three members of the panel still haven’t released a verdict yet despite probably knowing in December 2024 which way this was going.
