I won't derail this thread because there are multiple threads already about access to tickets and attendance, but I don't think there are many (or any) people not going to games because of the charges.A lot of empty seats for starters, the tourists are dwindling while the club takes local support for granted. Im monitored re my attendance after 40yrs + by an organisation 3 years into an enquiry about its own mgt being corrupt.
Great post. You can’t underestimate how much the mainstream media has collapsed. Most of these writers work for fringe publications with tiny audiences for football content. Bluemoon has a significant audience for City fans of a certain age. But we are guilty of amplifying the audience for clowns like Delaney and Harris. Not that I’m an expert on any of this shit, but the fact we’re apparently the first PL Club to hit 1bn likes on TikTok would tend to suggest you might be worrying unnecessarily here.
It seems the TikTok demographic have little issue with showing their support for City.
Fact is - most of us on here are old cunts, who consequently give undue attention to the mainstream media. Which is dying on its arse, and is embarrassingly irrelevant to the next generation of football fans.
The proliferation of client journalists in the mainstream media means we get a skewed picture of the general views and opinions on our Club.
My son is 16, and has never even heard of Ian Herbert or Miguel Delaney or any of these complete fucking nonentities whose views get a bewilderingly disproportionate amount of airtime on here.
He never listens to Sky Sports News or Talksport, or gives a fuck what the Guardian’s clear editorial position on our Club might be.
He consumes his football content through Gaming (mostly FIFA/EA Sports), TikTok and Snapchat.
His mates are all the same.
And in that world, Paul Merson or Nick Harris’ opinions are totally irrelevant in the decisions they’re making about which Clubs they follow.
Just because we mostly choose to consume the kind of biased client journalism that is clearly editorially anti-City )given the Clubs who are ultimately paying for it), it doesn’t mean the next generation of fans are hearing anything like the same message.
I would like to know the reason some of the people interviewed turned the job down.If Donald Trump's behaviour is anywhere near representative of the US owners in the PL, there are so many more elements than just racism involved in their operations.
Self-serving and bullying, with the probability of both bribery and corruption involved in their operations, the threat posed by City's owners is too much for them to risk or ignore.
Finding the perfect stooge in Masters to carry out their plans to destabilise at best, or ideally ruin and destroy, together with the competition being their plans. Cabal mentality driven by greed.
US money is the genuine dirty money in this whole saga.
As is the case in society generally the big winners these days are the legal profession, particularly true in this instance. Also recent events demonstrate that yes there is an elite which considers itself above the law it continually weaponises against others. A lot of what has happened to us regarding these charges does indeed have to be viewed within this context. My feeling is that the longer this goes on the more likely it is that the punishment will be relatively minor. If the substantive charges could be strongly supported we would be in the Championship by now.Premier league must be regretting their conduct regarding these accusations , they went for the headline 115/130 charges and this has made the process a long drawn out case , if they had reduced the charges to the basic six alleged misdemeanors then this surely wold have been wrapped up far sooner.
Blame the Premier league for grandstanding and their legal charges which could possibly top £100m , that money could have been invested in grass roots football , but the Red 'istree clubs and their puppet Masters have been self serving in the witch hunt for our club run by "foreigners with a different skin colour" .
None of these charges would have seen the light of day if we were owned by Yanks , there is definitely a racist angle to this whole episode
Even though I am also an old **** I seem to share a lot of similarities with your son in terms of what I do or don't listen to or read. Not that I’m an expert on any of this shit, but the fact we’re apparently the first PL Club to hit 1bn likes on TikTok would tend to suggest you might be worrying unnecessarily here.

Not at all, as he's right. All the evidence has to be heard to decide if limitation can be applied or not@halfcenturyup and @BerkshireBlue does this change your opinions or not?
But CAS didn't do that. They decided on how limitation would apply then only heard evidence that wasn't time-barred. We simply don't know the details of the PL hearing though so probably pointless to speculate. Not at all, as he's right. All the evidence has to be heard to decide if limitation can be applied or not
It's a perfectly solid line of reasoning. They won't be offering a "cast iron guarantee" of anything but they might be able to say "Our lawyers tell us that the worst case scenario is a single figure points deduction" or whatever they have been advised.I genuinely struggle to understand that line of reasoning. I don’t see how the club could possibly offer anyone a cast‑iron guarantee of its own innocence. If I wanted an honest assessment of whether someone was innocent, the very last person I’d ask is the one facing the accusation.
I mean, the club might be confident because, you know, we did fuck all wrong and we know we did fuck all wrong. It's a perfetly solid line of reasoning. They won't be offering a "cast iron guarantee" of anything but they might be able to say "Our lawyers tell us that the worst case scenario is a single figure points deduction" or whatever they have been advised.
There is no way that if City are worried about relegation that they would lie about it. That's the only punishment a player would baulk at.
I was on holiday in the Caribbean in the summer and our hotel had a lot of Americans. I can say without doubt that every single one of them came across as an absolutely enormous bell end. Even the kids were dickheads. If Donald Trump's behaviour is anywhere near representative of the US owners in the PL, there are so many more elements than just racism involved in their operations.

Sometimes the simple answer is the correct one and everything else is just white noise.
People are worrying for what????
Find us guilty of every charge-I still love my team and will support them.It changes nothing at all for me in relation to City.
Find us not guilty..Business as usual.
If what Slbsn is saying is correct then I ask one question.Serious criminal allegations would need the serious fraud office / police etc to be involved if not time barred?
One of them, either directly or indirectly, stated that it was to do with undue pressure from a small number of clubs, and this was after accepting the role. Can't imagine who the clubs could have been.I would like to know the reason some of the people interviewed turned the job down.
I hope there isn't any limitation. Need this putting to bed once and for all.Which could also be a reason why we would actually want their to be no time-limitations. I'm sure if the evidence is as the club states, we'd rather be cleared on everything, rather than cleared back to a certain date with anything else ignored.
You would have thought the inland revenue and the Police would have been battering down the doors of the Etihad three years ago if serious criminal activity had happened.
Also is it BDO who are City’s auditors, if all this alleged stuff had gone on which has come to light with the Der Spiegal articles in 2018. Why have they continued to work with the club for over 8 years?
