I quite liked the second French try - where the ball got flipped backwards on the halfway line and the forwards ran it in without getting tackled. Perhaps they're angling for a run at centre next week!

That was a hard watch. Not getting the tackles in giving away silly penalties you can't do that with that French team. Decisions by Sam P at Fly half some clueless. Not sure he's the right 10 being honest. The front row and pack didn't do a lot and the back line was nowhere near the level it should be. I will always say Farrell doing the Lions tour has set back this Irish teams rebuild. I don't know what there is to do the next game will be vital. I know there is a lot of talent there just think Farrell may be too loyal to some players. Time to get that sorted out big time. Maybe we are on the last cycle of Farrell maybe new eyes on the job might be needed and to try and transform this Irish team again. Some good players but our back line and centers are all past there best. We need a reaction in the next game big time.

There was an incident in the first half when Ellis Mee,a winger who is ten stone soaking wet, tried to muscle Earl into touch.
