Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

It’s a perfect ko time, many have had a relaxing few drinks beforehand,
Also, negates a lot of issues getting there or leaving early for work, school etc.
Debating it at half time, I asked the question, where would you rather be on a Sat evening…
Fantastic kick off for a certain demographic, although personally I prefer the 5:30 Saturday slot, when you can also have a good drink, and given the flow of the game would have provided an equally great atmosphere last night

Not ideal for young families, or anyone who has to drive etc

Absolutely no debate whatsoever for me. I missed tonight due to illness and I’m gutted as it sounded great on TV and my match going buddy was quick to inform me how much better it was tonight. Pep’s after match comments confirmed it too.
Great vocal support from the fans which pep commented on the players appreciated it and it got us over the line let's keep this up doesn't matter what time the kick off is doesn't stop us singing

I understand that certain games naturally create a better atmosphere than others; this has always been the case and will continue to be so. However, the stadium's acoustics are poor, and anything that can help improve the atmosphere, particularly during games where it is naturally quieter, should be considered.
Acoustics and Atmosphere - the new North Stand

In response to your point, the new North Stand has been specifically designed to be on ONE large level (level 1) which will hold 9,500 approx. It will be an entire CITY HOME END, not split or divided by away fans.

It has a wrap round design with rear and side `walls` purposely intended to reflect sound down and out. The roofing materials have also been specified with this intention to allow the noise to BOOM out.

The atmosphere was much improved v Newcastle as expected however if the main singers congregate in the new North Stand it will be louder and better.

The reasons why the North Stand can be louder and better are - a much greater numbers of fans, one level, not split, visually impressive and dominant, and the North Stand is designed better for atmosphere than the 3 split level South Stand.

`Cum on Feel the Noize` as Slade sang.

AAFC refers to Ardwick Association Football Club, the name Manchester City used from 1887 to 1894 before adopting their current name. Based in the Ardwick area of Manchester, the club was a predecessor to the modern Manchester City FC, which was founded officially in 1894 after financial reorganization.
Ardwick played 2 games after Manchester City were formed: 18th April 1894 Ardwick lost 2-0 to Sheffield United at Hyde Road and on 28th April 1894 they drew 0-0 away at Stockport County… City were formed on 16th April 1894.

2am getting home on a p1ss pouring wet drive says - no thanks.
What time do you have to leave for a 12:30 ko? Swings and roundabouts in your case I suspect.

This is about the atmosphere and there is no doubt last night was fantastic, 12:30 would have been flat as fuck.
