Hopefully that tipping point comes soon.Any stretch of coastline is viable, within reason, but the technology needs streamlining. As of now, the degradation costs are too prohibitive, factor in the comparative simplicity of wind and solar, and most engineering companies still see tidal as vanity projects. Once the technology is streamlined, we're laughing, because the output will be far greater than other renewables.
In the meantime, we need to keep upping our capacity to store excess electricity so that we’re ready when we can create cheap renewable energy.
