North Stand Construction Discussion

That's why I said i get there is a project in development. Regardless it's been like it is long before the North Stand started!
Yes, but there has been construction going on at the Arena, long before the stand started. We are probably talking a good 5 years of construction, around JMW.

Todays look around

Did you notice that now the scaffold in city square is down you can see the efflorescence on the factory made columns ?? So dry brickwork still effloresces when it gets wet on site . In short there’s nothing you can do if the brick Is prone to efflorescence , just let it happen and then fade away over time !

Can't bring myself to get excited about it until my anxiety is eased for my little one to get a ST. Aiming to get in there, moving from SS, but admittedly not too picky as long as he gets one.
Given the current discrepancy between current demand for tickets and the fact there is going to be 9,000 new seats, it should be unthinkable that people are worrying about getting a season ticket.

Hope you get sorted. Got my lads season tickets in 2007, when they were 7 and 9. They’ve had them ever since and it's been a blast. Been everywhere including two CL finals.

Excuse me bud I’m not trying to score points here
but I spent my whole working life specifying and procuring facing bricks from a multitude of British suppliers from ! LBC (London brick co. ) to GISCOl ( Glasgow steel and iron ) through Ibstock , Butterley et al and believe me if there’s salt and gypsum in the clay there’s sweet f.a you can do ( even kiln drying , which never happens ) to prevent the efflorescence appearing , it’s just an indisputable fact , wire brushing is the way to remove it , washing just redissolves the salts to reappear later !

Well not with that attitude! ;)

It's not worth it, and I'll leave it there. But it is avoidable, and people build reputations on it. Don't want to derail the thread though. All good.

City have said they will release more than 4,000 new Flexi Season Tickets stadium-wide ahead of the 2026/27 season, and that 50% of the new Flexi Season Tickets will be ringfenced for Junior Cityzens, however I don't think they have formally made it clear how the application process will work.

Apologies too for derailing the construction related topic!

Hope you’re right. It’s more if City actually allow it with their criteria or if they prefer to fuck loyalty over for tourism. You never know.
