US & Israel attack Iran

Few will mourn the Ayatollah. Its what happens next that is important. Hopefully it works out for the Iranian people and they don't become another Iraq or Syria.

72,000 dead in two years should affect all humans.
Replacing regimes to the choice of others has no track record of success.
There's no dog-whistling - the actions of Israel are abhorrent. We have been here before...many times.
Sudan, Myanmar, Tibet, and other genocides are equally abhorrent.

Let's be real, I voted Green in the G&D by-election to keep Reform out, that's all. I don't want the Greens anywhere near running the country. Right now they're under the microscope, locally; i'll see how good they are at addressing the issues in the area, potholes, fly-tipping, drug deals, fallowfield loop scrotes etc.

I have not seen interviews so cannot comment fully.
It is clear that there are no easy solutions to regime change. I would rather a politician proceed with caution and the cooperation of the international community than demonstrate the gross notion that they have all of the solutions: if they did, we would not be in this situation in 2026.

I’d say dangerous because I don’t believe it is naive. He’s an intelligent person who is specific in his wording.

Personally, I think he’s an opportunist who will say whatever brings him the most votes.

It is a complex situation, and one where the west has no track-record of success.
Israel's actions should command the world's revulsion.
It is for Iranian people to choose their path. This is more complex in a dictatorship, of course.
I don't believe for one minute that you heard Zack Polanski state that he would rather the Iranian people be killed and terrorised.

It is perfectly understandable that people are glad to see the death of the head of a murderous regime and have empathy for what the Iranian people have had to suffer.

However, this is an opportunistic attack that has ignored international and domestic law, by a man who has deliberately hollowed out almost all meaningful strategic capabilities and restraint in his government and by another man who has led his country into rogue nation territory. It has been done without the support of the international community, little to no infrastructure seems to be in place for what happens next and if there is a strategy beyond destabilisation of the existing regime it is entirely unclear. All this has happened in arguably the most febrile part of the world. There is no cause for celebration at this point in time because it's entirely unclear how this is going to play out for the Iranian people or anyone else. The track record of the belligerents gives no cause for comfort and we can only hope some saner nations can help find a route to de-escalation.

Islam is a small religion amongst the population just like every other there. There are more atheists, agnostics, non-religious and Hunanists combined than Muslims in Iran. But they are ruled by an Islamist regime that they and the Zoronastrians, Jews, Baha’is, Christians and other religions have to adhere to but try their best to defiantly not adhere to it as much as they can without being arrested, beaten, hanged or shot.

So Iran has replaced one religious fanatic with an even more extreme one, and a bloodthirsty killer with an even more bloodthirsty one. It doesn’t look like the regime is about to fall anytime soon, unfortunately.

This is the consequence of aggression and failed diplomacy.
The sooner we see human beings and not religions the better.
72,000 slaughtered humans in Gaza. 1,200 slaughtered in Israel. 160 killed children in Tehran.
Thousands of dead people in Sudan.

We allow politicians and our media to gloss over the human consequence and turn it into sides. None of it is acceptable.

Didn’t mean it as being funny funny but they go on about attacking America and Isreal but then attack Muslim people in the Middle East . Who have nothing ti do with it .

Well....technically, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are all members of Trump's Board of Peace. It might have reasoning as to why they were also attacked by Iran.
