Leeds United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Dont usually comment on this sort of thing, but i think its clear from the booing of breaking the fast to actually viewing the faces in the crowd at times, that Leeds have an excessive amount of knuckle draggers fucktards following them.....
Shameful

How, didn't touch the ball for 10 minutes and wasn't closing down.

When he came on I thought, he may hug the line and give them somthing to worry about, but he didn't.

Hopefully Erl is back Wednesday to keep defences busy and defend for us, I'm sorry but Sav does none of those things.

Anyway, move on and enjoy the win and the improving performances of others (Nico, Rodri, Cherki, Nunes, Nouri).
He looked fine from where I was standing, closing down did nothing wrong in my eye

Ugly game but we got the job done. Its not how, its how many. Cherki superb, Ruben and Marc absolute rocks at the back and Semenyo chipped in again when we needed it.

Leeds started like a house on fire but no chance they could keep that pace up and they didnt. Our failure to get the 2nd goal led to their late kitchen sink throwing at it but we held out.

One gripe - didnt understand any of the subs Josep made at all; Id have had Foden on for Marmoush, Gonzalez on for O'Reilly and Khusanov on for Cherki. Bizarre tbh and Gonzalez in particular is being criminally underused again just as he was from Feb-May last season. That said Pep and I share 39 major trophies as managers - hes won 39 of them and Ive won zilch, so what the hell do I know?

On to the next one. Just got to hope Nico O'Reillys rolled ankle is just that and not ligament damage. Hes become an integral part of the team over the past 12 months.

Ait Nouri put in a shift yesterday and grew into the game. His movement down the left with ball put him in some very good positions to cross which resulted in the goal. A proper marauding attacking full back.

Was there any update on O’Reilly when he came off? Shows how classless the Leeds supporters were when they were chanting ‘you soft bastard’ when he was walking behind the goal in front of their fans.

Maybe I'm wrong but I felt we controlled that 2nd half (bar the last few minutes) They weren't allowed to build anything or have quick breaks, did they even have a shot ?
That is City of old. Nice to see.
That's what I thought.

They pressed well for 25 minutes, but probably to hard, and were never going to keep it up, once it petered out, we controlled the game, until the last few minutes, when they pressed the chaos button, but still didn't really create much.

You should have seen the match thread.

The reaction from some was disgusting.
I enjoyed the fact that some of those comments were from people that I have on ignore, as i could tell from other posters replies to them

Clearly just generally thick, ignorant people, whether theyre talking about football or religion

The press in this country again telling you that they are racist without telling you that they are racist.

Fans booing during you'll never walk alone at klanfield, tragedy chanting and not okay by the daily fail. Fans booing during players breaking fast during a religious festival, pep making a big deal out of nothing.

Ait Nouri has started to show why we bought him, an excellent performance again along with Cherki and O'Reilly before he was crocked (did their player even touch the ball, it looked like he just stuck his knee into the side of Nico's leg when he was at full stretch?).
