They bailed after shooting each other down is the favourite bet ;-)How are ‘several’ US military planes crashing in Kuwait? Luckily the crews have managed to bail out.

We do have a duty to get those Brits that were transitting the Middle East or on holiday home. As for the British immigrants that live there, and I have 2 nephews who have been there for 10 years, I agree. Why should we evacuate ex pats? They made their choice to live there avoiding tax over here so should make their own way back. Not my opinion just up for discussion before I get lynched

Interesting to see how they get all of the Brits out of Dubai (if that's going to happen). Planes can't takeoff and the nearest safe place is probably Riyadh, 11hrs drive away, or Muscat in Oman which is closer.
There's a lot of people to evacuate!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. We know for certain that the terrorists in Iran have been developing nuclear weapons for years. I'll ask you do we sit on our hands and let them finally get the them.
It's all semantics. The US military use British airspace multiple times a day to overfly, for exercises or to land. On Friday there were several heavy transports that overflew and some were refuelled in UK airspace. We are so closely linked to the US it is inconceivable that we were "in no way" involved. It is my understanding that no UK bases were used as part of the initial attack. Permission to use the bases was granted after UK bases came under attack. The usage of our bases is conditional - ie to deal with the specific threat to the bases. We seem to be threading a very delicate legal path through this mess.
If my understanding is incorrect then I’m happy to be put right.
I've no problem with pacifism and isolationism. I actually think it's the only 'moral' stance that's anywhere near consistent BUT it has to be applied to ALL sides not just Israel and the USA.Please remind of a war where the end result has been perfect?
Because people’s opinions on this are clearly set on this by whether they pay tax or not.Why should we evacuate ex pats? They made their choice to live there avoiding tax over here so should make their own way back. Not my opinion just up for discussion before I get lynched
And this affects you how exactly? And what's the alternative, do nothing and let them have nuclear weapons?
Harsh but true! Why should we evacuate ex pats? They made their choice to live there avoiding tax over here so should make their own way back. Not my opinion just up for discussion before I get lynched
Haha who said I was jesting, it’s typical American style in war zones, shoot first ask questions afterYou maybe jesting but they aren’t ruling out friendly fire - it seems it’s the most credible reason. 2 F-15’s involved. Not sure what other aircraft shot down but assuming not fighter jets.
The Iranian regime has killed millions of fellow Muslims and is currently randomly firing missiles and drones into most of its neighbouring countries. Your point is valid but Iran is a different level of risk to India and Pakistan. The Iranian leadership has repeatedly stated they want to destroy western countries. They are crazy enough to use nuclear weapons. And this affects you how exactly?
Israel has, Pakistan has it, India has it, by the way the last two went to a few mini wars and nukes were never even close to be on table. So what is exactly the problem, the country that does not like to be fecked with and is prepared to use every possible means to defend itself is getting nukes. Just do not mess with it or try to make them your client state as you did with ever other state-like entity in the region.
By the way, Iranian soldiers have been killed in their thousands by chemical weapons during Iraq-Iran war and never went to develop it themselves or retaliate. And we all know how it all ended up with a geezer who was using it and who was our kind of a guy.
We are accusing other people of some insane ideologies but we are prepared to live our own version of it and beleiving in it.
You can't really be helping "pre-emptive action" and call it "defensive".
That is one twat who should not be repatriated leave him thereCamel gob will be fine, he can last 8-10 days without water
If they have a British Passport then they are our responsibility. We do have a duty to get those Brits that were transitting the Middle East or on holiday home. As for the British immigrants that live there, and I have 2 nephews who have been there for 10 years, I agree.
There is video evidence of Netanyahu spouting this crap decades ago, only one country round there has Nuclear weapons and they also happen to be the only one that doesn't allow officials in to document or investigate them. If we want to talk about terrorists, you should look at how Mossad agents conduct themselves, blowing up pagers in other countries not caring about blast radius'. Going by that reckoning, we should be sending a full team into Israel right now and kidnapping Netanyahu and bringing him in front of the ICC to honour his arrest warrant.Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. We know for certain that the terrorists in Iran have been developing nuclear weapons for years. I'll ask you do we sit on our hands and let them finally get the them.
So you are willing to take the chance? And this affects you how exactly?

However you should have some personal responsibility. And some decisions you make might make your passport and citizenship irrelevant. If they have a British Passport then they are our responsibility.
