??? You think Silva wouldn't get in ahead of Eze or Odegaard? He'd absolutely walk into our side. He'd have gotten into the invincibles team.

He means because he wouldn't fit in with the rough & tumble, corner battling style of play. Not because he isn't good enough.

Got to agree that some of your attacking players have gone backwards this season.

The eye test would say yes, but stats show we are the top scorers in the league. So the attacking players are doing what they need to.
 
Arsenal are ruining football as a spectacle with their chaos set pieces.

Current corners and long throws are spoiling the game both with the time they take and the thuggery that ensues.

Perhaps it’s time for a radical re-think. No throw ins into the box allowed and instead of corners the attacking team gets an uncontested drop ball 10 yards outside the 18 yard box (to start playing football again).

Stick that in your pipe Wenger.
 
Saka is ineffective in Arsenal’s rough house team, and yet he’s recently committed his long term future to Arsenal. Shame that.
 
In 2012 I wouldn't have given a shit how we played if we won the title. But it's hard not to dislike this Arsenal side for their style of play. They're an excellent team with some top players who could go toe to toe with anyone. The fact they dive, time waste and rely on set piece routines that belong nowhere near a football pitch is a real shame. But their fans won't give a shit if it gets them over the line. They'll hope the good football returns once they've got the monkey off their back.
 
Everywhere you look Arsenal fans are completly obsessed with City. Liverpool fans didnt go this far. I think this could loose them the title raise because I think it is not only the fans who are ....

During his first season in charge, we played some nice football under Pearce.

He gradually got more and more defensive in his approach, until that last season, which was bloody awful to watch.
 
Goldstein on TS one of the few to call out Rice for his wrestling facing away from the ball when defending corners he did it every time. Surely even the incompetent referees and their leader Webb can see this.
 
I've no love for Arsenal, their fans, Arteta and the shitehouse tactics they employ, the likes of which i haven't seen a top side use since the days of Don Revie's Leeds side. Having said that i understand why they couldn't give a fuck about the criticism and if i was an Arsenal fan neither would i. They've been runners up three years running and all that matters is this year they win it. I hope we'll pip them of course but i think this year they'll finally get it over the line.

That was the last Maine Rd season and the following season at the COMS as it was then they were 4-0 up in 20 minutes -peak Wenger Arsenal and this lot are more like peak Tony Pulis Stoke

One stat not stats

58 goals, one more than City 57 but played a game more.
16 from corners City 6
24 set pieces for Arsenal 9 set pieces goals for City
Own goals, City 3 none won a game
Own goals, Arsenal 6, two v Wolves won 3 points
Arsenal forwards have scored 21 goals City over 40

Goals against Arsenal 22 City 25 of course City one game less
 
Don't think fans are generally that bothered about how their team plays when theyre top of the league

The issue is that its not sustainable long term, and Arsenal have a very good chance of winning the league this season, but id put serious question marks next to them winning it again next season
