1st pint I bought was in the Railway & Linnet in Middleton Junction, Geoff the landlord was a Blue, and we all went on the same coach to Wembley in 81.

I went to Manchester University so remember that pub but did not frequent it. Is it still there? I remember being searched for drugs by cops when walking through the precinct despite people in Afghan coats standing around smoking something suspicious. I’ve never smoked.The Phoenix , University Precinct, Oxford Road ......
It was full of weirdos, so despite only being about 17, I felt quite comfortable, lol !

They refurbed the Pineapple just after Covid and destroyed the character of it. Was far better with the bench like seats and pool table.The Pineapple in Shaw. 15 years old and my favourite aunty took me there with her new fella at the time.
Turned out later in life she scammed my mum over so she is now the **** of the family. Nice one though for that pint, you slag.
