I think the midfield next season will be if Rodri stays

Tonali Anderson


Anderson and Tonali can play 6 but they are more 8s. In our best teams under Pep we had two incredible 8s that could create and score. Both Tonali and Anderson are physcial but also technical and they hardly lose the ball when pressed, due to their ability to spin with ball when played into them

I still think he plays as a wide /inside hybrid with width from Nunes,same to a lesser extent Doku on the right that does leave a question of where Semenyo and Marmoush fit other that rotation and cover.

Sorry mate, i meant if we signed both Tonali and Anderson?
 
Reason I think rodri is going is signing Tonali and Anderson with him there makes no sense. It does make sense if he goes along with Bernardo. If Rodri stays, we'll just sign Anderson.

Those comments from Rodri the other day though were ominous as hell though, and personally I'm 60-40 that he leaves.

It sounds like Anderson is still our number one target, but don't think we'll pay what it'll cost for Tonali.

If Rodri goes to RM which i think he will, i would be asking about Camavinga.
Reports say he's up for sale and i think he'd be a good fit for us.

forget the stats and open your eyes....

The quality of our football in every aspect has dropped off a cliff....defensively we look wide open, we dont control or win the midfield battle and our attack looks stunted and clunky.

We wont get rid of all of them but none of them are either good enough or fit the way we play....

Your assumption that we overtake arsenal is that they dont improve as well as others around us...you also assume we will get the right signings when the whole premise is that we havent got the right signings recently.

solid but where is the creativity? it would mean we need to significantly improve our creativity from our wide players and that aint happening with the current options we have

This is what we should be roughly aiming for....it gets the best out of Haaland as well .....a better wide left than Doku would be ideal in this scenario (and I love Doku - but he cant pick a man out with a cross -he does eveyrthing else right however)

Again this is why I dont get the signing of Semenyo? Unless oyu drop Haaland he aint playing as we know he aint a 10 and he is average wide

Anderson, the Premier league did a video a deep dive into Elliott Anderson as a player and his chance creation is higher than I expected he's Forests creator

Those 3 have a huge 3 goals and 5 assists between them in 77 appearances. We'd be solid but would struggle like fuck to create anything.

I agree and I think we might struggle to create with those 2.

Will be interesting.. if Nunes, Cherki, Ait-Nouri and Doku are going to become the main creators & we just shut down the middle.

Rodri isn’t going near madrid.
He’s atleti through and through, and the disrespect he gave them after the ballon d’or.

Tonali and Anderson would be too similar. We need some technical player like Bernardo while being a bit more pacey. The whole midfield of PSG has some type of short burst beside ruiz
