TV Series

Not sure why people are so in love with 'The Pitt'.

Is it not just standing on the shoulders of others before it, like 'ER' (the show Noah Wyle cut his teeth on?)? In fact, it could be the same character just 25 years on!

The difference being 'The Pitt' just pushes the boundaries of accepted injuries that's seen on US TV, where we Brits see it all the time on ours!

I find it... meh.

Personally I think it’s rubbish tv
Its really poor considering that I liked Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923.
Reminds me of episodes of low quality TV like Seal Team and SWAT, each episode is formulaic and the supporting characters are irritating as fuck particularly the rubber faced woman.

Feels like a cash grab by Taylor Sheridan.

Starting “For all Mankind” season one again and going through the seasons again, the one coming up is the last season so to Do it justice I had rewatch the early
Seasons again, Its so good with the spin on it all..

You go back to watching your cartoons in your marvel pyjamas and leave the serious shows to people that appreciate them.
Of course it must be rubbish to have won

Best Drama Series: Won at the 83rd Annual Golden Globes and the 31st Critics Choice Awards.
Emmy Wins: Secured 5 Emmys at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Noah Wyle), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Katherine LaNasa).
Ensemble and Actor Awards: The cast won the Best Ensemble Award at the 2026 Actors Awards (SAG Awards), with Noah Wyle winning for Best Actor, making him the first male actor to sweep all five major TV acting awards in one season.

I suggested to my aunty who is approaching 80 and she is a retired surgeon to watch The Pitt. She cut her teeth at, among other places, A&E - she says The Pitt is like being back at work, while watching ER is just relaxing after long day in the operating theatre. Found it very funny and a sharp observation.

It's 'ER' with a bit more blood and guts!

We see it in our dramas in the UK!

Just cos the US have had the balls to finally show it, doesn't mean its groundbreaking anywhere else!

The Diplomat, new season is not bad. TV series threads always go on forever because there’s always something new to talk about. Everyone has their own favorites and hidden gems. Some shows build slowly, others grab you right away. It depends on what you’re in the mood for. Recommendations usually come from personal taste. It’s kind of like scrolling through hbo max reviews—you’re just looking for what clicks.

Last one laughing uk season 2. Enjoyed it but probably not quite as good as season 1 was.

Do think they need to update the formula though for future seasons. come up with some other ideas that can generate laughs outside of the jokers, perhaps include those out early in trying to trip the rest up, we don't even get to see some of the jokers if they're out before they're asked to play theirs.

Thought it was good until the final episode which was very flat and surprisingly was short on humour.

Yeah I agree. When it got to the final few, the focus was more on not cracking than being funny, that's why I think the ones red carded should come back in, they can just focus solely on trying to get the others to laugh rather than reigning it in to not make yourself laugh.

Thought it was rubbish apart from the farting Joker and Bob the rest were crap, they shouldn’t be allowed to put a big goblet over the mouth to hide a smile like Mel did all the time, Sam was just weird, I also think it showed who is a naturally funny and who needs a script to be as well, many couldn’t do it off the cuff.

The Pitt on episode 5 and it’s the same as most other ER shows to me, on a side note if this is representative of ERs in the usa it looks the same as our NHS, just as bad.
