Never a chance of it once Pep had made his subsitutions ..... the attacking cogs in the city machine usually seem to stop turning at that point !A very pleasant day Shame we didn't get 5!!

There always has to be a negative, even after beating arsenal and liverpool.we never really let up in the 2nd half .... that is until Pep's subs lowered the tempo in the final third of the game.
Yeah, a great performance after 30 mins but stat wise, both had the same amount of shots and like v Arsenal, we were fortunate not to go behind before we got started but great to see Haaland back in the goal moodNot our best performance, but not a bad result :)

There was less chance that happening after Semenyo scored in the 50th minute cos most of the scousers had done an early runner !

We played very well for a spell of 30 mins as we did at Wembley. But that was more than enough.It was literally our best of the season.

Don’t forget the Foden cameo, what the hell has happened to him?Liverpool stayed organised and more than held their own for just over half an hour, but Haalands penalty settled the nerves, created gaps in the Liverpool rearguard, and his header then sent us into the break an impressive two goals to the good .... Trafford did okay when he had to, Bernardo was his usual busy self, Cherki played well, O'Reilly started to impose himself a bit more, two more goals followed, and we never really let up in the 2nd half .... that is until Pep's subs lowered the tempo in the final third of the game.

He's a quality player ... that Semenyo cross to Haaland for his header was spot on .. and the way Semenyo moved into position and chipped the keeper for his goal was sublime.

I dont think the ref saw any real point in playing on, both teams had pretty much settled on that 4-0 scoreline by that point .. players were getting booked left, right and centre .. and he's probably promised to take his missus for a night out tonight !
