PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

State pension is about £40 below the frozen (by the Tories) income tax threshold so most pensioners will pay tax if they have a private or occupational pension.
It is going to go above well above the level (that Labour) have frozen it at in a couple of years.

I’ve no idea mate. It’s just bad that they feel the need to go. My nephew has built a Company from scratch (having gone bankrupt once when in his early twenties) he’s worked his bollocks off and employs 50+ people in the NW. He can only visit the UK now for 90 days/per year. He’s got children and wants to leave them something. Of course there are parasites, the undeserving etc amongst those that’s left - but you need people who are driven, will get off their arse, work like stink, putting their personal assets at risk etc. He was born in a council house. It’s not a “trade” he created it.
He can stay longer if he wishes (assuming he still has a UK passport). He'd just have to pay tax on his income, which is fair enough if you're using the services of a country for a significant period each year.

The tax he would pay could also be minimised if he's already paying tax in a country that has a dual taxation agreement with the UK.

Dual taxation agreement you say?

  • Yesterday, the u18s got to the final of the FA Youth Cup and they are top of the PL U-18 North League.
  • City Women are top of the WSL and in the semi-finals of the Women's FA Cup.
  • City won the League Cup, we are FA Cup semi-finalists and 2nd in the League.
This shows that City's success is not down to a culture of rule breaking, and it suggests that its down to investment in football, club infrastructure and people. I think the club should make a point about this all round success if it is achieved. It's not done yet.

Yes Tax Treaties exist between many Countries to prevent double taxation and are usually based on time within a country during its financial year.
6 months and 1 day in UK and you pay ALL your global tax irrespective of where earned in UK.
Conversely if say Spain then he becomes a Spanish taxpayer apart from any Council or Police etc earnings.

I just read a quote in the last five minutes (about a JD Vance visit to the Hungarian elections), and it asked the question - does the media now inform, or influence?

We have allowed political parties, working in conjunction with what are effectively their own media channels, to build more and more resentment and switch the blame to the things they don't like.
Those parties receive large donations from oil and gas - the media channels they are work with are owned by investment companies who invest in oil and gas. They speak endlessly about how renewables don't work when the wind doesn't blow or the sun doesn't shine because they want to keep their investments successful, and they speak about how much you are paying to subsidise those renewables. Now, they want to dig, dig, dig, because they want to protect their investment in oil and gas despite knowing that it will not necessarily impact on price, and knowing that rejecting renewables ties us to the despots who are manipulating the markets.

They demonise Zack Polanski just as they did Jeremy Corbyn because both speak of inequality - public services have been eroded because political parties who receive substantial donations from extreme wealth refuse to tackle the extremely low tax rates paid by the uber rich. It is no surprise that the owners of GB News and The Daily Mail are both non-dom, complex trust owner types. Get them speaking about the average tax rates of the billionaire boys and you'll have a different type of resentment building up - I saw an 11% figure recently compared to 33% for a nurse. I am a small business owner myself and declare every, single penny of my income from home and abroad because it is right that I pay the correct amount of tax to help the nation's services.

As for immigration, if we keep bombing the globe, and building its inequality, people will move to find safety and prosperity elsewhere - it has been this way since the neolithic age. Our birth rate is now 1.4 - for a myriad of reasons - so we need immigration, lots of it, or we will not be able to fill our pension pot or our vacancies, AI notwithstanding.

Anyway, back to the 115 - any news other than Tolmie's post?
Isn't it wonderful to be able to live in a free society where 2 people can live peacefully however have polar opposite views.
Only City can bring us together.

As a small business owner myself I feel exactly the same way. I'm too old now and the mrs in particular has too many family ties but if it was just me and I was a bit younger I'd be off like a shot. Not only the tax but all this insane net zero bollocks, which is forging prices if energy and thus everything else up, and from a motorists' view the way we're fleeced then persecuted thanks to this mad obsession with speed and safety, the immigration problem... most registered news born boys name is now Mohammed that tells you all you need to know...

I could go on all night but you get the idea. None of these issues used to exist at all and don't have to now.
It tells me you are an ignorant moron.

Pep stated to the media that even if we were relegated he would stay and fight. He does not want a stain hanging over his success.i feel he will go this year or next but the timing of the announcement (assuming we are cleared) is important for his decision. He has given everything to our club these last ten years.
I obviously don't want us to get sent down but I'd be lying if I said the idea of Pep storming through the Championship with a glorified youth team wasn't interesting.

The petit-bourgeoisie: small business owners, and professionals have always played a critical role in the mass base for fascist movements and they prey on the stupid in the bottom of the social pile. Migrants are not the problem, they are escaping problems. If you are a family in Beirut and see you neighbour's children blown up in the dead of night, what is your aspiration. You dream of getting your children an education, and you work every hour in every day, in every month to get them into Europe so that they can live the life they deserve. Immigration is humans wanting the best for their families and in many cases it is about survival and escape from war. Mohammed is simply escaping conflicts and social crises that our politicians created. Do you know that the Taliban were once supported and armed by the West to fight the Soviets? The mullahs were flown in from Paris to head off a revolution by the communist Tudeh Party of Iran. Saddam was supported for years by the West and then when it was convenient they turned against him. It is foolish to hate Mohammed.

unless he's playing for the dippers

I feel a rant coming on but not sure which thread to use lol

PL is clearly bent and racist, this can not be denied.

How else to you explain the weak punishment that Chelsea's received ?
Off the book payments, gain a big playing advantage, won competitions which should at least now have an * against them or taken away.
Chelsea have an American owner so they get let off. It's a fucking disgraceful.

I dont understand how clubs that have had points deductions and or fines arent getting together and taking legal action against the pl.
I dont understand why Chelsea being let off has been basically swept under the carpet. Well I do really the British press/media are fucking weak, pathetic, bitches for the American cartel. All to fucking scared to tell the fans what is really going on.
The American cartel have a fucking hold on the piss weak press/media, its shameful that our game is being slowly destroyed by Americans and our press/media do nothing to protect our game.

City have been cleared by CAS but the American cartel didnt like that. Klopp came out and said "its a bad day for football". I dont remember what fine he received for that.
It clear the American cartel is behind this whitch hunt.
The press/media should be calling out this whitch hunt on the pl most successful club the pl has ever had.
Instead the press/media are happy to go along with the cartel with this racist hate of City.
It would be interesting if City were bought by an American tomorrow ( the day I would turn my back on football ), If guilty City would be fine 10 million.

The pl is clearly not fit to run itself, only the fans of the cartel clubs can not see this, along with our piss poor press/media.

Im surprised a civil war hasnt broken out in the pl. These clubs with fines and points deductions just seem to say " yea its ok we dont mind American owned Chelsea getting away with off the books payments. Grow some bollocks and call it out for what it is.

I personally dont see the need for financial control. I dont see what is wrong with purchasing a club and wanting to invest in it.
There was no fuss when Moores family bank rolled a small mid table second division team. Or when Walker bank rolled Blackburn, or rags being bank rolled, or now Wrexham. All white owners so no problem.

An independent body needs to investigate the control the American cartel have over the pl. Going back decades Britain would of had good investigation journalists who would investigate this. Sadly these type of journalists dont excess anymore its all about bollocks and clicks.

Our owners are the best in the world, invested not just in the club but the surrounding area. They didnt need to invest in the surrounding area but they did.
They have brought wealth and jobs to the area compare this to a American club in Trafford who have just brought redundancies and zero investment to their area. Any investment like a new stadium these American and 25% English owner want to use our fucking taxes to pay for it.

We are the best run club in the world. We could improve on the way the fans our treated ;) . City have so many pl records,

Yet the governing body the pl have from the start tried to destroy our club. City arent run the American way, the way of debt, of wanting no relegation, of wanting the status quo, guaranteed income with no fear of relegation.

City want competition.

Love City hate PL hate America owners, hate our press/media.

Rant over CTID :)

Indeed it is. It's why phrases like snowflake, woke, gammon, lefty, righty, are so destructive - they stop the conversation and turn it into insulted and insulter.
Personally, I identify as City. I dropped the 'til I die part because, approaching sixty, those around me are obsessed with mortality. Others identify me differently.
When I first walked the entries of Moss Side with my grandad, it was the togetherness that so intoxicated me. Only City brings us together.
